I bet Jennie Garth is secretly pissed Shannen is stealing her thunder. She gave up a pilot deal to come back to the show and now this happens and it will be all about Brenda. YAY!
I have an irrational love for her. Irrational because if this sort of behavior had come from anyone else, I'd probably be a complete hater. But Shannen seems so fierce and awesomely crazy.
Are there many stories of her acting like an ass just to be an ass? I mean, I know she's almost impossible to work with, but most people say it's because she's a complete hardass and if she disagrees with you, she won't hesitate to get in your face about it. And, of course, she's gotten into fights (fistfight with Jennie Garth? haha), and was known as a party girl. But you know how some stars will do jackass stuff just because they can get away with it? Like how John Cusack reportedly took a crap so that a service crew member would have to clean it up? I'm wondering if Shannen was ever known for pulling that sort of stunt.

I also have the irrational love, formed the instant I read about the fist fight with Bonita Money. Shannen is hardcore and a true bitch, but she owns it. I thought she was great when she hosted SNL and completely made fun of her hellcat image.

Back in the day when I was a kid I read some US magazine interview with Shannon. I think there was some mention of how when she would get in her moods she'd go to her dressing room and play her music really loud.
Compared to the antics of other stars that seemed really tame to me. And compared to what we see today from stars (i.e Lindsay, Britney, etc.) I'm not even sure why Shannon was considered all that bad. I guess even at that time I thought "Wow, playing her music really loud. That's what has people all up in arms on the set?"
The stars that Shannon has been known to get into fights with (i.e Jennie Garth, Alyssa Milano) seem kind of witchy themselves (but pretended to be nice unlike Shannon who owned up to her bratty behaviour) so I don't think those feuds were simply one sided from Shannon's end. I think those two co-stars were also probably brats too.
Ew, didn't know that about John Cusack. I always wondered why people seemed to dislike him so but now I know why. That certainly answers that question of mine.
Oh, I will totally tune in for this. I hated Shannen Doherty back in the day. She was born in Memphis and always brought up her Southern roots as some kind of testimony for how grounded she was, even though she grew up in California. But time has passed. She's looking grizzled. I can't wait to see her return.
I do remember that she trashed--and I mean TRASHED--several apartments.
Oh yeah, and when she hosted SNL, that was right after she got married (to Ashley Hamilton, I think). She showed the wedding "video," in which she kept getting into fights with people... she was writhing around on the floor in her wedding dress, pounding on people. And screaming at the camera. It was really funny.
Oh, there was something in the 'Guess Who Don't Sue' thread about an actress having a secret affair with someone from a prominent family. Shannen's name was mentioned, as was W. I'm glad it's not true, 'cause ew. I'm secretly hoping the blind item is actually about Scary Hatcher and H.W.

Well, Shannen is a big republican. Remember when she led the Pledge of Allegiance at the Republican Convention? I think that was at the beginning of 90210, before all of the serious hell-raising began.
Did the BI imply the Bushes? I couldn't see Shannen and W. hitting it off. H.W. and Teri Hatcher, maybe. But I do love the idea of W having an affair.
