I hate country music, but she has always seemed like a genuine sweet girl. Compared to that moron Kelly Pickler they've got on there this season. You just want her to fall off the stage or something. (Also a big Wings fan - Joe was HOT )

Here is a link to an acoustic concert where she sings a few songs from her album and Rascal Flatt's "Bless the Broken Road", which is amazing. www.strippedmusic.com/Thanks for that link. I really like "Before He Cheats", though it's one of those revenge songs where the protagonist behaves in ways that could get a person arrested in real life. Add me to those whose opinion of Carrie has risen considerably after having to endure the Pickler.

Oh, that is kinda heartbreaking, elin. I would cry too. It was quite sad for Carrie, but, really, she shouldn't take anything Wynona says to heart. Carrie is going to start touring with Kenny Chesney; meanwhile, Wynona is the host of Nashville Star, which is nothing if not the launching pad for revolutionary musicians.

"Jesus Take the Wheel" is damn corny. (I like to imagine the possible outcome: "But officer, it's not my fault I crashed into a telephone pole, Jesus was at the wheel and he's a lousy driver.")
However, Carrie herself doesn't bother me and I don't see where Wynonna Judd gets off ripping on her to an interviewer. Wynonna is not exactly the world's most in-demand, interesting singer. (I've read interviews with her and mostly she seems totally jealous of Ashley and bitches about her weight a lot.)
And anyone is better than that fake-ass Kellie Pickler.

I watched the E! Hollywood story on The Judds and they all came off as entitled assholes. Carrie should have told Wynonna to shove it and refused to get photographed with her. But, she's way too nice to do that.

I think this place has made me insanely cynical, but as soon as I read about this guy I wondered if he was a distant relative.

But after being subjected to the What's A-Pickler for this long I've learned the Carrie -bot isn't so bad at all.

I never understood how someone who'd already tried to make it in Nashville and allegedly fronted a band could have such little stage presense. On Idol, it was like she was performing in a vaccuum.
I can't stand country music, so "Jesus Take The Wheel" makes me want to stab myself in the ear drum, and just seems like the most blatent attempt to appeal to the stereotypical Southern/country music/NASCAR fanbase ever.

I love "Jesus Take the Wheel" and I tend to hate country music. The only thing that bugs me about Carrie is how perpetually unhappy she looks. She has seemed unhappy from the beginning of American Idol to presently. She didn't even seem happy during or after her win. Perhaps she was missing home.
