3 million albums sold - pics here. I thought she was kind of bland, so this surprised me. I guess those who talked about how country fans would love her were right.

I thought she'd end up being too pop for country, which is experiencing a minor recoil back into rootsiness after the Dixie Chicks pop crossover years. But "Jesus, Take the Wheel" is a nice solid mainstream country single. I liked it when I heard it the first time, then was shocked to find out who the artist was.

During the CMT awards last week, Wynonna Judd, when asked of her opinion on Carrie, said that while Carrie is a great singer, she's kind of vanilla. As it turns out Carrie was eavesdropping from behind a curtain, and started tearing up. I don't know why, but I found the whole account hilarious. Perhaps it's because the article contained a picture of the two, and Carrie had the fakest, most Stepford wife grin on ever. Other than that, I don't have much of an opinion of her, except I think her new album is surprisingly good, and she's real purdy.

She reminds me of Crystal Bernard, you know, from the show Wings.

And the obscure actress reference of the day goes to Mad Elf.
Crystal Bernard, talk about dropping off the face of the planet.
BTW, I loved Wings.

She bugs me. There's something about her that seems far too prissy. Plus, the title "Jesus Take the Wheel" sounds so hokey that it almost seems like it would be a parody song.

Woo hoooo!
I know this is OT, but Crystal Bernard hasn't entirely dropped off the face of the earthwas on a recently made, made for TV Christmas flick with none other than Steve Gutenburg. She had hideous, hideous hair too looked terrible. Her skin looked bad too. The hair and make up people must have really hated her. And according to IMDB she has something (a made for tv film I suppose) in post production.
I love Wings too. I remember the duet she did with Peter Satera. Every time I hear Carrie Underwear sing, I think of Crystal. I guess that's a good thing for Crystal!

I love Crystal Bernard and I also liked that duet with Peter Cetera- even though it was kinda cheeseball. Carrie wishes she was Crystal!

Carrie is by far my favorite Idol contestant. She has a beautiful voice that she uses really well. I am not a huge country fan by any means, but her album is really good (except for the Jesus song and the AI winner song). Here is a link to an acoustic concert where she sings a few songs from her album and Rascal Flatt's "Bless the Broken Road", which is amazing. www.strippedmusic.com/
