Charges against Baldwin to be dropped. I get that he is grateful and all, but Hilaria's Instagram post makes me cringe. It makes it look like the whole event is about *them,* not the victim, those who are still awaiting legal repercussions, or their families.

I'm also a fan of 30 Rock but haven't rewatched in the last several years. I'm looking forward to reading Monsters by Claire Dederer, about the fan's struggle to balance the sense of moral outrage at an artist with their love of the art itself.

It's strange to me that Alec is the one announcing that charges against him *will* be dropped. Not the prosecutor announcing that it's been done. It's kind of like Alec is partially willing it to be a done deal by making a public announcement. But the prosecutor doesn't seem to be pushing back, so I guess Alec is free to rejoin the production and fire away! (Sorry about that.)

I'm happy that a crazypants Hilaria Baldwin obsession subreddit exists because I know that it annoys the hell out of both Señor and Señora Baldwino. The subreddit is off the chain, but they have noticed that Hilaria often poses for photos with Alec that make her look like a tiny child and him her parent. Like, intentionally so. And I don't think they are off the mark on that one. That photo is creepy.

Halyna's family is going to sue Alec.

A lawyer for Ms Hutchins' parents and sister said that the actor "cannot escape responsibility" for her death.

Mr Baldwin had already reached a deal with her widower and 10-year-old son.

Last October, Mr Baldwin and Ms Hutchins' widower, Matthew, reached a preliminary deal that made him an executive producer for the film.

In a New Mexico court on Monday, a judge agreed to keep the terms of that deal sealed in order to protect the privacy of Hutchins' young son.

I think it's weird Halyna's parents and sister are acting separately from her spouse and son. Maybe it's just because Alec already settled with the spouse and son and they can't put him through a civil case now.

I agree it is weird. Do they even have legal standing to sue? I don't remember ever seeing that before unless the person was unmarried and had no children, though I could be totally wrong.

Doubt over Alec's account of shooting.

Mr Baldwin denies pulling the trigger of the prop gun which went off, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Weapons experts have now said the trigger would have "had to be pulled".

According to an interview with ABC News:

Actor Alec Baldwin told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview that he had "no idea" how a live bullet got onto the set of his film, "Rust," but that he "didn't pull the trigger" on the firearm that killed one person and wounded another.

I thought it was definite that Alec pulled the trigger?
