I didn't see a thread on the introspective and lovely Jennifer Connelly, and thought I'd start one.
Anyone else a big fan? Or at the very least, does anyone have gossip/info about how the shoot with Leo DiCaprio (for The Blood Diamond) is going?
I'm all ears...

I remember seeing her first in The Labyinth with David Bowie when I was a teen. I was so jealous of how beautiful she was. Huge boobs even at a young age.
She has become a real talent, but I wish she would stop dieting, I think she is prettier with a few pounds on though.

Love her. Dark Harbor was incredibly boring, but about two-thirds of the way through she has a monologue about the death of her and her husband's child that knocked me on my ass. That's when I realized what a good actress she really is.
There's a rumor that she's playing Lady MacBeth opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman. I can't wait to see that.

At a party in college, this random girl came up to me and my roommate and said "You look like the girl from Rebel Without a Cause (to me) and you look like Sarah from Labryinth (to roomie)". When I am usually flattered to be compared to Natalie Wood, I was jealous as hell that time. Jennifer Connelly is the kind of beautiful that my boyfriend can drool over, and I don't get jealous. I'm drooling too.
ETA: My ole roomate looked ridiculously just like her, but she was a hippie chick with very hairy legs that she showed off, so I never got too too jealous of her. I'm awful.

Drop dead gorgeous and naturally so. Amazing actress, who has come a long way if you remember the really bad teenie movies she made-for a while there, she was in b movie hell, but she has turned it around.

Oh, whitefalcon, I agree...although she looked quite meaty in Pollock and Dark City.
The worst she's looked was at the Oscars (in that seafoam-coloured strapless gown by Balenciago), IMHO. But at least the girl brought home the Academy Award!
The funniest thing is, I'm a fan of hers but I have yet to see The Labrynth. I've seen every single other film (one of my faves is Waking the Deas), though. Even the godawful Higher Learning.
I admire not only her obvious beauty, but her intelligence, and the fact that she sought a college education despite her celebrity, and she's become a more focussed and responsible person as a result of having children.
Some of these birdbrained celebs like Katie-bot and Denise Richards need to take a lesson from her.

Professionally speaking, she needs to lighten up. You can be serious actress and not play an endless stream of depressed and depressing individuals.

Hmmm. True, she seems to gravitate toward more tortured characters. I did hear, however, that she's interested in stretching and playing a comedy. I'd be there in a sec.

I confuse her with Kate Beckinsale.

She was awful in Labyrinth. Couldn't. Act. At. All.
