The man can do no wrong, onscreen. Great, underrated actor.

I recommend a marathon of films where he does not end up dead. Yeah - all two of them! I'll bring the movies, you bring the popcorn - and I guarantee it'll still be warm by the time we're done! It really just is so annoying that he gets greased in almost all his films. I just don't get it!

There were more than two of them! I can name four off the top of my head where he survived to the end credits. So unless there were extra 'killing off TLJ' scenes at the end of the credits, we can watch them. I'll bring the soda too. Neither do I. Unless he dies really, really well?

That's what I suspected, India. Topic? Tommy comes off as having a really good sense of humour, which is always likeable.

He is a fucking awesome screen actor, I don't think I've ever seen a bad or even mediocre performance from him; he always brings something to the table. And I really want to see the film he recently directed and starred in, the one with a ridiculous, impossible to remember title.
It completely wouldn't surprise me if he was horrid in real life, but he's one of those celebrities I'd sort of excuse it from. Whilst I can't stand preciousness from film actors, the entertainment industry and all the malarky surrounding it is pretty ridiculous, and I can't hate on him for refusing to suffer the indignity and inanity that so frequently is "the celebrity interview" through false smiles.

Pepper and keepittight, go page back onto this thread and read mariposalabrown's posts about when she worked with him on Man of the House - she said he was SO nice and cool!
And is the movie you're looking for The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada? He was in that, and he directed it. And it has a hard name to remember. ;D

India, I thought of you this weekend. My parents recently rented The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and told me I should watch it because it was a really interesting, different story. And because TLJ was "brilliant" as a director.
It doesn't sound like my kind of film, particularly if TLJ dies in it, but I wanted you to know that my usually blasé parents were hugely, hugely impressed by your beloved's talent and directing. Have you seen it? If so, what did you think of it?

Kafka -- I don't want to spoil it, but I think you should rent it without fear. I know it belongs on a different thread but I am so intrigued by the scene where the young Mexican extracts a promise from Tommy Lee's character, so maybe you could rent it and then start up a discussion in the Movie Thread. And also the waitress character, she keeps coming up in my mind.

I've missed several of his little independent jaunts unless I happen to find them on IMDB and then at the video store. I am pretty good about checking to see what he's in that's new on IMDB, but then it's a matter of finding it. So yeah, even for a big ginormous Miss Supah Fan like me, I've missed several things that he's been in!
