Aw, I have a major soft spot for her after reading her pregnancy book. Plus, I've always kind've liked that she doesn't seem to take herself seriously - since, ya know, she really shouldn't. Not sure that I like her with Jim Carrey, especially if he's working on becoming a clam, and because I get the barely contained suppressed rage/insanity vibe from him. Who knows though... They're both "goofy" - maybe she lightens him up?

Wait... Carrey is going down the path to Scientology? WHAT? He just seems thisclose to going completely insane and does not need any help going off the rails.
That said, at times, heseems to have this compete grasp of what and who he is (not that he doesn't resent that, but he seems to have accepted that he will always be known as a "hilarious guy" rather than a "gifted actor"). He always seems slightly depressed for one reason or another failed relationships, "failed" attempts at being taken seriously as an actor (I always thought he did rather well in most of his serious roles, totally kicking ass in Eternal Sunshine - he might not have been nominated for an Oscar, but he proved that he is more than capable of rising to the challenge of making a film where the primary goal isn't to make people piss themselves laughing). I hope this support of Cruise (any info on that?) is simply him supporting a fellow performer, not him getting interested in Scientology.

I can't believe that after he admitted to suffering from depression and being on psychiatric drugs for years, he would support Tom Cruise. Hypocritical jackass.
I remember that when he and Lauren Holly divorced, she wanted something like a million bucks for each month they were married. It was hilarious in how openly she made herself look like a gold digger. I would have felt sorry for Jim, except he ditched his wife for Lauren so he deserved it.

The only story that gives theory that he's swinging the way of the $cineos is when he invited Clambo to his Memorial Day BBQ at his pad. Nothing else really states why they were there or what he's up to now.
I love Jenny McCarthy, too. She's so out there and doesn't give a crap. She's funny, zany and crazy -- but you're right snarkaholic, she doesn't take herself seriously, which is cool beans in my book.

He also made some idiotic statement at the recent MTV Movie Awards (or whatever they're called-I forget the name, there are too many awards shows to keep track of) that the press needs to stop picking on Tom Cruise and how Tom is a nice guy.

Good point! Ugh. I really hope he isn't going the way of the $cienos. I'd have to shead a tear for Fire Marshall Bill.

I really hope he isn't going the way of the $cienos. Same here. I often thought that he came across as unhappy and vulnerable (even before I heard about his depression). If the clams gave him the celeb treatment he just might be sucked in and the cult isn't going to be a healthy answer to whatever problems he might have.

I thought he was the one who used to play practical jokes on the $cienos, though. Like, he'd call up and pretend to be interested to watch them wet themselves with glee. Or was that someone else?

I thought I heard that, too, somewhere. I've never really liked him. He always seems like he's trying way too hard. I've always heard that comedians are a dour and depressed bunch. I get really tired of hearing about how they're actually "crying on the inside." Mike Meyers and Carrey both come off like that to me -- They consider themselves tormented artists, but come on... In the grand scheme of things, where do comedians rank in importance? I think they tend to take themselves too seriously. Anyhow, I'd love that to be true that JC taunts the clams.

I dont think he was supporting the clams, so much as doing that whole "entitled to his opinion" thing.
Its stupid, but whatever. I still like Jim, and him and Jenny seem like a good fit.
