Crossing The Bridge, with JG, Josh Charles, and... some other guy, is one of THE best and baffingly obscure rites of passage movies i have ever seen.
One of my fave all time scenes has to be where JG after having the shit beaten out of him is mumbling how he wants to throw his jock jacket in the river - that epitomising very thing he wants to get away from. There's some great very serious and insightful dialogue in this where he's discussing it with Josh Charles and then a fab bittersweet moment when JC who has sort of been patiently humouring JG's decision to turn over a new leaf, face chages when he gets back to the car and yells "Hey, THIS is your jacket. That was MY jacket you just threw in the river". The oops shrug from JG who then begins shuffling to the car - but not before pausing to spit out yet another chunk of cheek from his bleeding mouth was just poignant comedy gold. In fcat i think i'm gonna go look up whether that's available on DVD right now. Ta ra.

I remember him as this dorky (I thought) kid from Iron Eagles and Heavenly Kid. Seriously, he was so meh in those movies, so not on my radar. Then I saw him in an episode of Ally McBeal, as the guy she has sex with in a car wash. I have been hooked ever since. He got gorgeous/hot overnight.

JG was kind of sexy in Rooftops, but that movie is so 80s. Take away the 80s urbanwear and he'd look hot. Ok, he shouldn't wear clothing, period.
