I don't get the rehab thing. Is she being ironic? She obviously does need to go to rehab. Someone mentioned upthread that Amy has experienced a lot of negative attention from the UK tabloids. Maybe "Rehab" is an attempt to thumb her nose at them - she makes light of the situation to defuse their criticism? I like her wacked out makeup & hairdos, but she looks rather sickly in the live clips. I'd never heard of her before "I'm No Good" was offered as the free song on iTunes. It's such a catchy song, I love it.

Her dad gave an interview saying she was fine. So she wrote a song about it.

Yes, but my point is that pretty much the entire public knows that her management and the record company were right. So why release a song that's only going to exacerbate her biggest PR problem?
Does she expect people to sympathize with her stance in the song, or is she winking and saying, "Yes, in reality I do need to go to rehab"?

Most likely the latter. I think she's admitted to as much. Plus, she's got a song on the album called Addicted.

I just checked Amazon.com. At this moment, her album is Number One on the Top 100.
I'm addicted to "You Know I'm No Good." The remix with Ghostface Killah is even better.

I think someone from her previous management group suggested that she go to rehab, and she said, "no, no, no!"
Anyway, the girl is sick with the pen.

I just bought her new album and I've listened to it once through, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe it'll grow on me when I hear it more (which does happen a lot for me) but I just think the songs all sound really similar. From the music to the way she sings, it kind of just sounds like different variations of the same song to me. I guess I just expected a bit more. But I will give the album a chance to grow on me.

I bought it too. My first take through it is that most of the songs are overproduced. That aside, I like a lot of it, though.

Perez Hilton (I hate the racist site), but he had a very good acoustic version of one of Amy's songs. In other words, I agree that the songs are overproduce. However, I didn't know it, until I heard the acoustic version, which sounded better.
