That video was horrible. Jennifer Tilly's face just broke my heart. She was all smiles and I thought she was going to burst into tears when he "broke the news" on camera. What a total ass. As if he couldn't have politely told people "Hey, I wanted to let you know that Bruno Kirby died. Did you know him? Would you like to come back over by me in 10 minutes to give me some comments about him?"
Ass.

I had no idea he was sick either. Like Karrit, I clicked on the thread expecting to hear wonderful things about him. I loved him in When Harry Met Sally. RIP, Mr. Kirby. ETA: I just watched a bit of that video. I got the impression that reporter was really enjoying being able to break the news to people on camera. He's a ghoul.

Ugh! I finally checked out that footage of the reporter going up to unsuspecting celebrities with the news. A couple people actually recoiled with shock, which I suppose is what the jerk was going for.
Can someone refresh my memory. I haven't seen Good Morning, Viet Nam for years and years. Did he play the uptight officer who at one point takes over on the radio from Robin Williams? I remember that character just cracked me up. His "schtick" was so painfully bad but he clearly thought he was hilarious. When it was over and people are just staring at him, dumbfounded, he had such a (misplaced) look of smugness.

I was completely surprised when I saw the headline last night. My first thought was, "But he's too young!!" I had no idea that he was ill.
I really liked him and loved him in all the movies folks have mentioned on this thread.

I think Robert Davi and Jennifer Tilly were genuinely upset by the news, but Lorenzo Lamas' reaction was the height of smarmy insincerity: "He was such a funny man ... but he could be so dramatic." Yeah, whatever, you asshole.

That video makes me want to write a nasty email. That's just wrong.

What part of the movie was that? I loved how rude he was to Meg Ryan during their date. HA.
"BABY FISH MOUTH! BABY FISH MOUTH!"

It's during the game where they're in the stands and the wave keeps coming around. Harry is explaining that the movers showed up just Helen's words "I don't love you anymore" were still hanging in the air. The big mover guy was bald and had a T-shirt on that read, "don't fuck with Mister Zero."
Love that movie. Love Bruno Kirby. RIP.

Right - Harry asks the movers, "How long ago did this woman book you to do this move?" And I think they either don't answer him right away, or they confirm to him that it was about a week before. So Mr. Zero knew before Harry knew that Helen was divorcing him.
