I really think Terri is crazed with grief and has no idea how to function anymore. I feel really badly for everyone involved. Bindi scares me with over preocious robot personality, but I really think the family just doesn't know what to do with themselves.

I really think Terri is a broken human being since Steve died. They seem to really have been each other's soul mates, and I think something in her cracked when he left so suddenly. She's obviously trying to function by continuing Steve's legacy and work, partly through Bindi, but I'm not sure that she is or ever will be in a "good place" again. It's really sad and I do hope the children end up alright in the end.

Watching Bindi on Rachel Ray the other day was freaky. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world, I am! I am!" She said it constantly. Not normal.

It most certainly isn't - she is like a robot. I am very surprised that Terri Irwin is letting her child become so obnoxious.
That is so sad Bob Irwin felt the need to move on. I guess Australia Zoo is becoming more of an entertainment showcase nowdays than what it really is supposed to be about - wildlife.

We'd all like to think that a sudden death in a family would bring everyone closer, but in my experience, what the Irwin's are experiencing is very, very common. Parents placing pressures on children who may be too young to bear that burden, grandparents becoming estranged, surviving spouses acting in a possibly manic or overly upbeat fashion (presenting a "happy face" to the world), it's all seen in non-celebrity families. I hope the Irwins, if they are experiencing dysfunction right now, can work it out in the end. There was something about Steve Irwin I always liked and I'd hate for his family to be at odds now.

I really, REALLY need to remember to ask if there is a snake picture in any links about Bindi before clicking on them.

Is it wrong to say that I like the clothes? Very cute and wearable.
I'm not getting on the bandwagon with the "Bindi doing too much." Maybe the TV show takes some time, but her portion in the rest is several days of showing up. She's not designing the clothes, or writing and producing the songs, or editing the video.
She seems to be thriving on it all......
Didn't the Jacques Cousteau family fall apart after his death? His wife going in one direction, his kids in another...both claiming it was what Jaques would want? It's not unusual for this kind of thinkg to happen in families.

Yeah, but she's how old? And she doesn't seem to have grieved at all?
And quite frankly, even if Steve were still alive, I still think she'd be kinda creepy.

I don't know...I've given up trying to dictate to other people how the grieve. I'm sure that Bindi misses her dad terribly. How could she not? She adored him.
