Anyway, the only reason I like her, is because she was quoted as saying: 'I don't understand this Brad Pitt thing'. Exactly what I've been thinking all along. She gets points for that alone, as far as I'm concerned!!

About the Vanity Fair cover, I disagree. It might seem diva-ish or demanding, but this is her career. She (and especially her publicist) need to make sure that her media coverage is handled in a certain way as she's transitioning back into films after graduating and heading into ingenue territory. I'm sure her publicist wants to create (or perpetuate) a buzz about her as the next big (returning) thing. If Natalie's been on the front of the VF Hollywood Issue before as a rising/hot star, I can see why her publicist wouldn't be crazy about her "demotion" to the inside cover. It might give to the industry, or to the public, the impression that Natalie is still finding her footing, or a "re-rising" starlet, rather than the Major Serious Acting STAH (ugh) that I'm sure they want her to be. This could be completely off, since I haven't seen this year's Hollywood Issue and have no idea who else is on it, but in the past, hasn't the inside cover space often been given to younger starlet types who have some buzz but haven't really established themselves yet? I'm thinking Gretchen Mol back in the day, or someone like Keira Knightley after POTC. If that is true, I'm sure Natalie wants to stay away from that crowd for publicity purposes if nothing else. Just my $0.02.

This picture makes me wonder if she had a nose job. Seriously, is there anyone in hollywood who hasn't had a nose job? ETA: I don't think that is the best picture to show whether or not she had a nose job. I just choose to believe it since I don't like her. Yes, I am bitchy like that.

I think the particular photo Skin Deep chose to use as the "after" picture sucks, but I am starting to think that she had a nose job. As many people have noted, something about her face seems very, very different and "off" about Ms. Portman in recent years. Could her nose be the explanation? Perhaps this is totally unhelpful, but my perception of Natalie in the past was always that something about her face was slanted or catlike -- her eyes, her brows, her cheekbones, or SOMETHING. Now when I see her she still looks pretty, but she looks like she has a really wide face and kind of full cheeks. She's gone from diagonal to horizontal. Her head also looks bigger for her body, IMHO, and I don't think she's skinnier now than she used to be.

If she had a nose job, she also had eyebags created from liposuctioning her lips. And she had the Plastics Person also punch her in both eyes so she could have lovely dark splotches under her eyes instead of above them where one usually puts one's eyeshadow. And she went to Jacko's Color Man to get her skin pigment darkened. In fact, I'm beginning to think that after picture isn't Miss Portman at all. That is Nicollette Sheridan! A Hah! I caught you at it .

Heh, she hasn't had plastic surgery, there are lots of pictures to prove it if you care enough. Here are some new pics and an interview: W feature story @ style.com[/color]. I'm not too fond of the pictures, maybe the ones in the actual magazine will be more impressive, and the article is the same old same old. One interesting (?) new piece of info:

From that W story:
What, after all, is more adult than taking your clothes off for money? Certainly not getting a job, working 9 to 5, supporting your family, or any of those other activities that 99.9% of women do. Strip, or remain an immature girl forever!
