Good Lord, he was only 40 years old! How about it? I couldn't believe it. Not to be crass but all I could think of when I heard it was all the fried chicken fat jokes Tom Joyner and staff have me cracking up about on my way to work so many mornings.

Didn't he sing "Casanova"? Me and Romeo ain't never been friends.
As soon as I saw HE had a thread, I knew. He's too random for anything else.

This is the worst news.
Really sad. Did he have a wife and kids? 40? That's just shocking.
RIP Gerald Levert.

I recently saw his daughter on a reality show, I think it was the one that they do for the 16th birthday party. She was a chubby spoiled rotten little bitch who thought she could sing and sounded like crap.

I am truly devastated. I loved him and his voice. I will miss how they always got him to do the music medleys at the cheesy awards shows on BET. His father, the great Eddie Levert must going nuts. It's such a shame. I saw him at a free concert on Ben Franklin Pwky years ago at Philly's annual Unity Day. He was a very good looking man in person. Big guy, very dark with a fabulous beard and moustache. I kinda developed a crush on him. He was always big and sweaty, but I liked it on him. Between Gerald and Ed Bradley dying, I'm almost crying here. What a voice. I will miss him.
