I was curious and I found this E! article about their relationship that mentions the rings. Deborra has one as well. Rumors have been started over less so I can see why they exist. That's actually the first thing I've ever seen that makes me go, yeah maybe he is gay. That guy looks like a rent boy, he lives with them, he exchanged rings with them, and he's kept around under the nebulous job title of assistant/producing partner, which is the classic way celebrities keep their friends and secret gay lovers employed. (Kevin Spacey does the exact same thing with his longtime secret boyfriend.) A little O/T but is just funny in this context. I always wanted to know if celebrities think they can still have secrets considering the fact that revealing a secret is as easy as a pic uploaded from someone's smartphone.

Based on that article, I would say he is at least bi. What the fuck is that? Exchanging rings and shit. Sounds like a poly amorous relationship.

That does seem polyamorous. OTOH, Hollywood lets its stars indulge in their every quirk so maybe in that context, exchanging commitment rings with your asst/partner + wife somehow seems normal? That's the best example I've found that hints at him being bi--or maybe it's not a hint, it's a huge open secret that we're not in on & HJ is just living his life happily.

I think it's probably more socially acceptable just to be gay. A bisexual polyamorous triad is too weird to explain. The TLC network has not adequately prepared society for it yet. Tilda Swinton supposedly had a straight polyamorous thing going* and as much as people thought she was a badass, they also thought she was a weirdo. Tilda's career is weirdo city anyway so that's ok, but Hugh Jackman is trying to be a leading man. *Tilda now says that there was never any polyamory. She split with her husband and he stayed living across the street from her and her new boyfriend for the sake of the kids.

I'm a fan of Hugh's but it annoys me when he or anyone else says "if I were gay, I wouldn't hide it I'd be out lol!" Yeah right. Times are changing (I love when the Homosexuality in Hollywood thread moves to the top because I know that someone has come out, and it's good to see), but give me a break.

Tilda's full of it or her publicist is or both of them are. She was all about her I swapped sammiches with Diana in elementary school, my family has a castle but I rejected that life and bang a 22 year old on the road and my baby daddy at home and waved that flag high. Perhaps because of her sons are at an age where their friends say some not so flattering stuff about their mom, she's backed away from it. It wouldn't shock me if Hugh and/or the Mrs. got down and dirty with this guy. I get a grifting silvery tongue vibe off of him that they ate up with a knife and fork. Since they are no longer "associates" and not much has been heard of him, the word is probably out.

I just finished watching Prisoners. Oh my. If there ever was a clichéd, hammy performance, then his was it. From start to end, I thought he was terrible. The film itself isn't all that great either with uneven performances all around so it could be the director's fault too. But Hugh ruined it. You can see every single acting decision he makes which makes it all even worse. I bet though that many people loved him in this because it was such a dramatic role.

Hugh and Melissa Leo both laid it on a little thick, I thought. Jake and his blinking didn't help, either.

I am so going to base my future acceptance of weirdness on whether or not TLC has done a reality show about it.
