He sings. He dances. He acts. He looks great in leather, among other things. He's Hugh Jackman, one of the best things to come from Australia since INXS. Discuss him here. Claws optional.

I am a big X-Men fan, so when the first movie was being filmed I was *so* afraid of my beloved characters being miscast. While Storm got the shaft (shoulda been played by Iman, IMO), Hugh turned into a perfect (and taller) Wolverine! I can't wait for X3.
In the meantime... I love me some Hugh! It takes more than the average bear to get me to sit through an Ashley Judd film, but I did it for him. That means something, folks. Come on. Ashley Judd.

When is his CD of Jazz standards coming out? Also, is he hosting the Tonys again this year? If so, I'm so there. I still have last years performance on tape. So great. The man can wear a tux, not to mention sing and kick.

There is a short independent film where he plays a high school teacher that is lusted after by two of his students. It is just a cute film and he is great in it. The quality isn't the best but I think it is a student film. It was just awesome of him to do that. He looks very hot in it ! Does anybody have the link to it?

I love him. He even managed to make the X-Men movies enjoyable for me (ridiculous hair and all), which is saying something, since those types of movies aren't my thing. I agree that he needs to start screening his roles better. I love how adorable he is in Kate & Leopold, but come on. He can do better. After reading the reviews, I still can't bring myself to see Van Helsing. I'm afraid it might kill the love.

Very talented guy but I can't take him seriously anymore.
Reason #1: In Kate & Leopold, when he was advertising that margarine or whatever, his chewing motion looked "off," very mechanical, like the Iron Giant.
Reason #2: Benny Hill. The Hugh Jarse sketch. "Every team needs a Hugh Jarse."

Don't do it Shanmac. It's wretched. I dragged my friends to see it because of my Hugh love and I'm still apologising. The love survived but barely and that's only because I popped in the Tony tape right in after I saw it in order to remind myself why Hugh Jackman is great.

It's really the script that's at fault in Van Helsing...so I actually came away more impressed with Hugh than before. He had a hand in making that movie more enjoyable it had any right to be. In fact, it's one of my guilty pleasures.

All those things proved to me is that HJ doesn't take himself too seriously, either, which only makes me lurve him even more.
Hopefully, he'll get another role, like The Boy From Oz, that's worthy of him.

I really like Hugh Jackman. The first time I saw him was in X-Men and then I bought the Oklahoma DVD because a friend of mine swore it was worth it for HJ. It was.
I haven't seen Van Helsing yet though, nor have I seen Kate and Leopold. I heard lots (and lots) of bad things about VH, but is K&L worth watching for Hugh?
ETA I'm committed! A committed snark that is. No mental asylums in sight (yet).
