I have no fascinating gossip or anything to share, but a recent conversation in True Confessions made me realize how many women consider Noth their tv boyfriend. So I thought maybe we'd want to discuss?

Over the weekend I ended up watching SATC/Law & Order back to back, and I was very impressed by the fact that Noth created two fairly celebrated characters and played both almost completely differently. The only thing they had in common was a certain smirk. And from what I've seen of Noth on interviews, he has very little in common with Big or Mike Logan.

(I searched twice for an existing Chris Noth thread without luck. I really hope that means that there isn't one.)

Up close this guy is really weird looking. But masculinity seems to ooze out of his pores. Yum.

Yeh, i was never a fan of Big, esp towards the end, but Mike Logan was yum. And so true that they were played differently - i think Mike would have had little patience for Big if he came across him in an investigation!!

I always thought he had great chemistry with Jill Hennessey and i thought their characters would have been amazing together. i WISH they had had a thing rather than Claire and Jack.

I loved Big. He would be my ideal boyfriend. I don't like them hanging around too much. And I don't blame his behavior considering how nuts Carrie was.
Anyway, Chris Noth is awesome. My friend saw him not that long ago and said he is still insanely sexy in person, though it's a bit hard to pinpoint why. He's just one of those guys, I guess.

Some guys just ooze Teh Sex from each pore that they own, and there's no logic for it. Other guys, like Tom Cruise, just ooze and you wanna get as far away from them as you possibly can. Chris Noth is one of the former.

I agree that it's definitely an oozing of masculinity. I find him strangely attractive although I don't find him handsome. If that makes sense.

I had a former roommate that was a makeup artist in Hollywood (still is), and had a horrible experience with "Mr. Big". She said that he is an obnoxious flirt, borderline sexual harrasment grounds.

I don't know how true or if it's just the way that she was feeling, but she sounded very sincere about the whole thing.
