Beverly Johnson was also drugged by Bill Cosby. He stopped short of assaulting her; she stated that she managed to scream and cuss at him and he got so angry he dragged her out of his house and shoved her in a cab.
I remember when she went public with her allegations against Cosby in 2014. I think her coming forward gave many other women the impetus to add their voices to the chorus against Cosby.
I suspect the list of women accusing Noth will grow and I have no problem believing them.

I'm sorry, Beyle.  I agree that it may depend on who's coming forward, but I also think that there have been some strides in the Me Too movement. Definitely a step forward, but miles and miles to go. |

At this point there are very few male celebrities where I'd be genuinely shocked to learn the guy had assaulted someone. Noth was a fairly notorious sleazebag well back in the day, so this wasn't exactly a stunner to me.

She said that when she took a sip of whatever he gave her she was like, "I got to get out of here." She managed to get out and get a cab herself; she probably did cuss him out as well. I remember this because when I heard her story I said to someone who thought the women were lying, "now why would she lie? She's got zero to gain." As for Noth, all I can say about him is that in the mid 90's he used to ride the subway here in NYC, (N and R train) I'd seen him a few times and the man is TALL, and back then you could tell that he thought he was hot stuff. And yes, I too heard he was a sleaze then. I'm sorry Beyle, and sadly, what you said is correct. |
