I love this girl. She was on Larry King recently and while WillIAm from the Black Eyed Peas were encouraging people to vote for Obama because "he will bring change" and nothing else, America was articulating actual details about why to vote for Hilary. In other words, she didn't come off like an ignorant sheep.

The film, which stars popular Mexican actors Kate Del Castillo, Eugenio Derbez, and Adrian Alonso, tells the story of a young Mexican boy who crosses the Mexican border to be with his mom who is working illegally in Los Angeles.

Before ‘Ugly Betty’ came around and made America Ferrera the star she is today, she had a small cameo in the movie playing the girl who helps the boy cross the border.

She's gorgeous, and she seems to be getting more attractive as she gets older. I think she's going to give CZJ and Penelope Cruz a run for their money in the dark-haired beauty category. I hope she doesn't lose much more weight - looks like she's slimmed down to a very healthy, fit size. Rock it.

Honestly I do not get it when people call her gorgeous. Especially not to the point of saying she will give CZJ a run for her money. CZJ is stunning, while America is not IMO. When she is made up with her hair done, etc she is merely average IMO. I saw a pic of her without makeup and she looked hideous. To me, to call her beautiful perplexes me the same way when someone calls Jennifer Aniston beautiful. I do not see it at all.

Delurking to say that I don't find her attractive AT ALL. I've seen a lot of ugly betty versions and all of them starred really pretty women who were uglified, but I don't think America looks that different from her character even when she is all made up I find her plain and kind of ugly, but she is a good actress and does her character well so there is nothing wrong in not being gorgeous.

Aw, I think she's lovely - though not in any conventional sense. I think she has a beautiful smile.

I think her Betty doesn't look much different because the network was afraid that American audiences wouldn't get behind a truly ugly main character. Many of the other Bettys out there look truly rough.

I think she's pretty when made up. Otherwise, she looks like a regular person on the street. She seems pretty intelligent. I can easily see her moving beyond acting if she chooses to do so.
