One of the most unintentionally funny things in Ocean's 11 is when she makes her entrance into the casino, and Matt Damon and George Clooney are staring at her like she's the most amazing creature ever, and she is just clomping across the casino floor. I mean, I can't walk in heels either, but no one is pretending I'm the picture of grace when I'm wearing them. My favorite part of this story is that Julia Roberts was barefoot when she filmed those scenes. She's so bad at walking in heels that she took them off and Steven Soderbergh kept her feet out of the frame. And then she intentionally clomped so as to mimic the wearing of high heels.

Yeah, it was one of the most famous women in the world taking advantage of how famous she was to publicly bully a nobody. I remember the one picture the paparazzi managed to get of Vera during the divorce and she was a regular, kind of mousy woman who was just trying to carry her stuff to work and looked miserable and shy. She didn't want to get into a tabloid love triangle with a movie star intent on stealing her husband. But don't forget Vera had it coming for not scurrying to the divorce courts quickly enough for Princess Julia's fairytale romance with her 'man among men'. I hope Vera's happy and loving her life now she's long divorced from that sleazeball.

The 'a low vera' thing is pretty awful but surely we are--at least here--well past saying any lady is stealing someone's husband? I don't have much of an opinion on her one way or another, her exposure peak happened before I was really paying attention to celebrity news at all, but I do think the extent to which she has maintained her movie star reputation while working as little as she does is really impressive. I had to go back five years in her IMDB to find a movie I had heard of.

The 'a low vera' thing is pretty awful but surely we are--at least here--well past saying any lady is stealing someone's husband? Maybe not when the other woman is actively trying to bully the wife into submitting to a divorce so she can marry the husband. I don't want to rehash the whole concept of "husband stealing". Obviously Moder was the cheater, the divorcer, and the remarrier. But in this case, Julia played an active role in the whole process.

I don't think anyone is calling her a husband stealer, but in my book, cheating is bad behavior. Julia and Danny both behaved badly. They behaved badly by cheating, and then Julia deliberately humiliated and bullied Vera, presumably with Danny's blessing. I'm sure there is a wide variety of opinions and practices on the board about when and how it's appropriate to see other people when one is married, and I doubt anyone thinks Julia "made" Danny cheat or anything like that. But Danny being awful doesn't lessen Julia's culpability in my book, and coupled with her highly unpleasant reputation, it's enough for me to thoroughly dislike her.

You guys, LOLOL! I was talking about Meg Ryan's imdb page hype, not JR's. ALTHOUGH, they both do walk like truck drivers. It just irked me more to see it on MR's page. Also, there was this one Australian gossip writer during the Crowe affair, who wrote something, something, MR is "petite and charming". I wrote him back: she is 5'10", has hands the size of dinner plates, and a giant Adam's apple. Hype. This is what happens when I post, then go do errands and go to a movie for several hours. The 'a low vera' thing is pretty awful but surely we are--at least here--well past saying any lady is stealing someone's husband? Yes, especially since she didn't steal him, she actually bought him; paid for a relatively quick divorce, paid Vera's settlement, hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I came across this yesterday: 8 Things You Didn’t Know About Julia Roberts And Danny Moder’s Relationship. Some of the quotes from Julia rival that 'man among men' horse manure. (I think someone messed up the quote. Grateful?) Anyway, I'd need therapy. All the therapy. And why is she giving them only to Hazel? About her 15 yr long marriage: That sounds so narcissistic to me. Those kids are human beings in their own right. They don't exist just to pay tribute to their parents' love for one another.

All over the internet are estimates: 5 feet 6 and a half, 5 feet 7, 5 feet 8. I figure 5 feet 10's gotta be out there somewhere. Yeah, that "man among men" quote; ffs. Plus, weren't there rumours of her cheating with Javier Bardem on Eat, Pray, Get Rich?

Her 8 other nominations and 3 wins were all for movie work.
