Jack is trending today on Twitter because it's his birthday. I can't believe he is 84! It got me wondering about him. He hasn't been seen too much in the last few years. IMDB has his last work was in 2010 in the film How Do You Know. You'd think he would still be working, getting parts as a grand dads, crotchety neighbor or as an elderly psycho.

For some reason I thought I remember hearing he was suffering from dementia, but I can't find anything on it, so maybe that was a rumor.
Also, he's got that crazy history of being raised thinking his grandparents were his mom and dad and his real mom was his sister. Didn't find out until a reporter who was researching his childhood in the early '70's told him. By then, both his grandmother and mother were dead. That's got to be a complete mindfuck.

I was so afraid to open this!
For some reason, I have a soft spot for old Jack, even though he's kind of gross in his past behavior, lol. Personal life aside, I love him in movies and thought it made total sense that Diane Keaton's character chose him over Keanu's in Something's Gotta Give. In honor of his birthday, maybe I'll find The Witches of Eastwick on Prime and give it a watch.

I never understood how Diane Keaton character took his over Keanu’s character. Each to their own I guess

This almost happened to a relative of mine. His young teen daughter got pregnant, she was sent away to have the child, and the parents would then have "adopted" the baby giving the excuse they had always wanted a boy. But my aunt found out the truth and blabbed the whole story. Things were way different in decades past.

This almost happened to a relative of mine. It did happen to a relative of mine. He found out the truth at age 12 from a stranger at the funeral when his elderly father/grandfather suddenly died. At the same time, he found out that his sister/mother was adopted - and back in them old days (which was actually in the 80s and not really that long ago) finding out that mother/grandmother and father/grandfather weren't blood relatives was also a big blow. This is why people tell kids the truth now.

Not always! I just found out my cousin is raising a child as a son, but he's really a grandson, AND half-Black, which no one else in the family is. Apparently as he is hitting his teens QUESTIONS ARE ARISING. Also, both of the people raising him are... child psychologists. I feel like it's a Wes Anderson movie storyline.
