Yes, this was her first baby with Lasse Hallstrom, many years ago. Sorry to confuse everyone! I just thought it was a nice reflection on her that she put family first in such an obvious way.

I have to agree with what many have said:It's so great to see an actress who looks her age, and looks great for her age without messing up her features with surgical crap or botoxin injections. Love it.

Ya'll know I love Jennifer Garner, but she tries so damn hard to be tough, sexy, and vulnerable- all at the same time. When she and Lena were on screen together, I was just constantly reminded that JG was ACTING, while all those characteristics just seemed to FLOW from LO. Totally believable.
And add me to the list of people who want to age as well as Lena- when she and Victor Garber were onscreen, I thought my TV was going to explode.

When she and Lena were on screen together, I was just constantly reminded that JG was ACTING, while all those characteristics just seemed to FLOW from LO. Totally believable. I hear ya, and I think that is a big part of why LO is so attractive. First, she's gorgeous, but I think most of it comes from the way she seems so comfortable in her own skin and these things just flow from her. JG simply doesn't have that quality (and most people don't), but I actually thought it worked well on the show, because it just showed how completely out of her league Sydney was when dealing with Irina. Irina could have crushed that little girl without even breaking a sweat if she wanted to. That's why Irina is 20 times hotter than Sydney. And there is something to be said for age and experience - that's why Jack and Irina were smokin' hot while Syd and Vaughn seemed like a couple of kids just past the "cooties" stage in comparision. I'm younger than "Syd" and "Vaughn" are, but I still think her parents totally out-hotted them.

when she and Victor Garber were onscreen, I thought my TV was going to explode. Ha! Me too! And I agree with kostgard that it comes from inside. The woman oozes confidence and that is sexier than any dress, make-up, hairstyle or plastic surgery, anytime, anywhere.

I heard that. But I seem to recall that she had some problems getting along with Ken Olin and that was a sticking point.
Either way, she is an amazing actress and a beautiful woman. She is a testament to the power of weight training. Lift on!

Word to nth. She was fantastic on Alias. And she is crazy toned. Her arms. Wow!
Love her, she's great. I was a little pissed that she was wrote out of the script, but I couldn't hate her for it. I was so happy she returned for a bit at the end of the fourth season.

I loved her on Alias and also in Chocolate. Excellent actress indeed. I was upset when she left Alias.

Did anyone here see a little gem of a noir film called Romeo Is Bleeding?
Many years ago, starring Gary Oldman, Juliette Lewis and Lena. Two best parts of the film for me: The Jazz soundtrack and Lena Olin's performance, one in which all the film critic cliches apply: She was intoxicating, incandescent, mesmerizing, breathtaking...seriously...she freaking burned the screen off... She played Mona, a russian mobster that must be one of the most twisted ,deviously resourceful movie villains I have ever seen... U gotta see this pic...

I want to join the Lena Olin Admiration Society that has apparently formed in this thread. Here is my testimonial: I first saw Ms. Olin in The Unbearable Lightness of Being when I was a mere child of 14 or so. I remember being blown away by her sexiness (that voice!) and resolved then and there to buy a bowler cap and seduce Daniel Day Lewis. <rowr> Fastforward 20 years (and a dozen restraining orders later - hi Daniel sweetheart! j/k) and Lena's the most magnetic, powerful and sexy personality on Alias. Sometimes it's hard for a character to live up to their hype but not Irina. For that I've got to credit to Lena. Finally, let me conclude by echoing the opinion that Victor Garber and Lena Olin are the best thing about the Alias series. Although I'm fond of Jennifer Garner's Sydney, I still have a hard time believing she could be the spawn of the fabulously sexy, cool and smart Spy Mommy and Spy Daddy.
