I did a search and don't see her here, so I decided to post a thread.

I said in another thread that Lena Olin has got to be the hottest over 50 woman around. She really did get better with age.

She has so much charisma that you don't see anyone else on the screen when she's on it.

Lena Olin is completely awesome. I want to be Lena when I grow up.

I also like that in some of the hi-res photos I've seen of her, you can tell that does have the fine lines around her eyes and such that women her age have - so she's gorgeous, and she hasn't botoxed herself to death. She looks like a beautiful woman who takes care of herself. I wish more women in Hollywood would take a page out of her book. And seeing the pictures of her and Jennifer Garner together at the Emmys a few years ago really makes me want to go hit the gym.

Absolutely gorgeous. And the accent doesn't hurt either.

My only quibble is that she apparently wanted so much $$ to come back to Alias they were forced to write her out of the script...smacks of divadom to me. But I am loathe to say this because I want her to be cool.

I'm sort of torn on the whole money thing - on the one hand, I want to say, "Oh, come on, lady!" But on the other, I can see how she normally divides her time between New York and Sweden and if she's going to shoot a television show out in LA that will take her away from her kids, then they better make it worth her while (and I think there may have been a sprinkling of diva on top of that).

Contract negotiations aside, I've only heard that she was an absolute professional on the set, and she's just so friggin' awesome I'm willing to let it slide. I gotta hand it to JJ Abrams though - he didn't give up and kept calling her and calling her and he did finally get her back for the end of season four and I understand she will come back in the second half of this season when they wrap stuff up.

I don't know what she does to look so great. I just think she was blessed with good genes and takes care of herself (she's built like a runner so I think she exercises pretty regularly) and has avoided screwing up her face with unnecessary surgery and botox injections. I've also noticed that on the whole, Scandinavians tend to age well, so she's got that in her corner too.

A goddess, and with the right priorities. She gave up a great part in a cable movie because it would have taken her to a foreign country and she didn't think it was wise for her new baby to have all the necessary innoculations.

I watch "Unbearable Lightness of Being" and weep at how beautiful she is. It's beyond human.

About the money, she deserved it, especially with the saleries they pay out to people. She bought a lot to tha show to the point that when she was gone, it lacked. Good for her for knowing she deserved it too.

Completely random fact that I read while in France over the summer - on average 48 women aged 50 conceive naturally in France each year. So I suppose that it is possible for Lena to have a baby naturally. Of course I have no idea how much older than 50 she is/how old the baby is now.

The cable movie thing must have happened a few years ago - her youngest child is around 10 years old.
