Anybody got any info on what Jakob Dylan has been up to lately?
I read that he recently got divorced after 14 or 15 years of marriage. I remember when the band was at its peak around 1996 how disappointed everybody was that he was married.

Did he have an affair with Jewel? I thought I read that rumour somewhere.

The Jewel rumor was bogus. They did a magazine cover together once, and in the article the writer described the photo shoot - Jewel stubbed her toe and behaved like a huge drama queen to the point where they had to call an ambulance while Jacob could not have been more unsympathetic or disinterested and got out of there as fast as he could.
But there was a rumor about him having an affair with Sheryl Crow that I did believe because it was obvious at one time that she was after him in a major way. Like she'd do interviews and whine that, "I could be partying with Jakob Dylan right now."

Probably four or five years ago I saw them open for Tom Petty at Red Rocks in Denver. Other than that I've got nothing.

Didn't Courtney Love claim they were related or something? Has Jakob ever acknowledged this?

I guess because his songs were always on the radio, but I really didn't like him or his band. Now that I don't hear them every five minutes, I like. I love his eyes.

lol, yeah, definetely no personality, for sure. I mean, I'm sure he has a personality, but he doesn't convey anything when he is performing. It's just...blank.
But I love the Wallflowers. They were popular when I just turned thirteen -- man, am I wistful for those days in pop music, as opposed to what they are nowadays (Akon at number 1 and 2 on the charts? UGH)

"6th Avenue Heartache" was so much better than "One Headlight", IMHO.
I'm sure his lack of charisma is why the band didn't really go anywhere. But he was really, really hot.
