I think he is totally hot now. I've just completely wiped any memory of Even Stevens out of my brain.

Seriously. I too have often found him a bit smug and it really does seem like he's trying too hard to be cool. But then again, he's only 20, and most 20 year old males are guilty of trying too hard.
It is nice to see that he's thinking of his future and the work he needs to do in order to achieve the career he wants. Unlike someone like Lohan who just sits around and brays about how she wants an Oscar, like they should just hand it to her one day and it isn't something she needs to work for.

I think he came off great in that interview. Love him or hate him, Tom Hanks has had an incredible career, starring in blockbusters of varying genres, winning Oscars, loved by the public in general, and still able to have a private life. Other than Colin, I have no idea how many kids he has or what their names are which is pretty amazing for a superstar. I like how Shia thinks long-term when so many of his peers are just looking for the next hot club.

I saw him on Even Stevens and in The Battle of Shaker Heights. When he's a little pudgier, I find him disturbing, as he has a pear shape. Seems to carry weight in his hips like a woman. 99.9% of men I have seen in this world do not. The oddness kinda bugs.
On Even Stevens, they always had him dressed in big open button down shirts over tees, so it isn't as noticeable. I remember a particular scene in BoSH when he was outdoors, just walking down a street, and I was really put off by his feminine contours. Poor kid! I know, I'm shallow as all hell.

Funniest. Observation. Ever. I seriously cannot stop laughing.
He won a special place in my heart after hearing him drool over Sigourney Weaver in the Holes commentary. When Disturbia came out, I thought "I knew he'd grow into his hotness!" Can't wait to see him in the next Indy film.

I loved his EW interview. He seemed so scarred from Transformers. I knew that stuff was more dangerous than people let on.

Someone who's thinking ahead! Maybe he's being a bit pretentious trying to be taken seriously as an actor (he did Disney stuff or something like that as a kid?), but it's still preferable to wanting to be known for partying and assholish behaviour. It is refreshing to see a young celebrity thinking ahead. I really don't think he's pretentious, I just think it sounds foreign to hear a young celeb with so much common sense! And don't forget Jodie Foster got her start with Disney - sounds like that the route he's trying to take.

I like that he seems to recognize just how lucky/fortunate he is to have landed the role in the next Indy film.
I was just thinking that he really does kinda resemble a young Harrison Ford.

And that's what I like the most about him and his interviews lately. So many of the 20-something stars in Hollywood are walking around with a huuuuuuge sense of entitlement that just makes me want to smack them. Meanwhile he's walking around with an attitude of "I get to be in an Indiana Jones movie! How awesome is that?"
He seems pretty talented and charming, so if he keeps this up he probably will go far.
