I'm guessing that the families of old money types put up with it if their scions are just screwing around with her but put their boots down when it starts looking like marriage. I recall reading gossip (yeah, I know) somewhere that this is why her engagement to Boy Paris didn't work out. Or maybe it was Stavros Niarchos. Or both.

I believe she's dated athletes in the past, but I think she really identifies with that older-money heir set- Stavros Niarchos, Brandon Davis, etc.- and that in her mind marrying an athlete would be a bit of a "step down". I think that ideally she wants either another heir, minor royalty, or one of those rich businessmen like Bernard Arnualt or that guy who got Lindsay into fashion week last fall.

And she hasn't got a prayer with any of those types anymore. Maybe there's a really, really trashy Russian somewhere who'd go for it. But what does she have to offer? Bernard Arnault's children are well educated and classy and are busy working for the family empire - none of them seem desperate for air time on TMZ or a case of the herp.

Paris Hilton has apologised after she was caught on tape slamming gay men who have sex with strangers.

The socialite insists comments she made about homosexuals were 'in no way towards the entire gay community'.

The 31-year-old had been taped saying to a friend 'most homosexual men probably have AIDS'.

Paris had been partying with a gay male model friend in New York City in the early hours of September 7 when she let rip with her questionable comments in a taxi they were sharing.

Damn it. This has made my brain start searching its recesses for memories of her dang sex tape. It keeps doing that because it's trying to remember if there was a condum involved. It's a sad fact that anyone in this day in age is still getting AIDS at all, but it hits gay and straight, rich and poor alike. Well, when she failed to pay rent on some storage space and the owners sold the stuff inside, there were prescriptions for herpes simplex 1 meds. And when her cell was hacked years ago she referenced her herpes in her phone calendar. So, whatever Paris. You have an STD, too.

I mean, we know she's not bright. Her latest reality show had an episode where she wondered if she was pregnant because the tabloids were gossiping that she was. She's a weird combo of narcissism, extreme immaturity, and stupidity. Frankly, from watching her shows and seeing her in interviews I also wonder is she's asexual and/or a sociopath. She really has no empathy for other human beings and whenever sex comes up on her shows (and in her porno) she seems either grossed out or disconnected.
