I really like her - she's always so friendly in interviews and most encounters with people always describe her as super sweet.

I don't think she's a great actress, but do think she's doing a phenominal job choosing scripts that cater to her strengths (romantic comedies and the like), and she's smart to have started her own production company to produce her own projects.

I like the fact that she seems to take the Hollywood life with a grain of salt.

She does have terrifyingly bad choice in men, and her personal life seems a little... off. And she does seem perma-stoned.

She comes by it naturally and genetically. Her grandfather, John Barrymore (I recommend watching him in Twentieth Century with Carole Lombarde), used to be such a drunk that he pissed his pants while making movies. I mean that he pissed himself during a take in a movie. And the crews used to have to clean him and the set up all the time. He was a raving drunk even on the set.

As for her mouth and nose (and profile), those are pure Barrymore traits. Her great aunt, Ethel, and her great uncle, Lionel (yep, that's him as Mr. Potter in It's a Wonderful Life, who was crippled with arthritis---he actually had to use that wheel chair in real life) and her granddad, John, all had that mouth and profile. They were famous for it. (Like Robin Williams is famous for his hair----all over his body in every nook and crevice).

I think it was on Conan where she was describing parties that she's thrown (or was planning to throw) - she did a toga party with all her friends and was planning a prom party - with photographers to take posed pictures and everything. It just sounded like such a blast - and so much better than all these fancy premieres that other celebrities go to.

I'm torn. I sort of like her...but on the other hand I still think that the nickname she was given back at the other place, "Lispy Potatoface" is somewhat apt.

I'll give her credit though, she does seem to have cleaned up her life and risen above the mess that was her upbringing/family.

She invited Kathy Griffin to the toga party and K talks about it in her latest special. She said she had never met Drew, but was invited because one of Drew's gay friends loved her. She went with Lance Bass (and I think Reichen?) The only real dirt she gave was that Lindsay Lohan was there with Harry Morton and was acting all surly and basically snarled at Kathy when she said hi to her.

I like Drew. I don't think she's anywhere near beautiful, though she is pretty and usually looks nice. She's a good actress too, so at least if she's in a film, I know she didn't get the job because she's the hottest thing evah (supposedly - because I rarely agree with that one) or because she's sleeping with the producer.

Kateln, I always think of that nickname when I see or hear about her!

I hope her private life isn't messed up though. Is nobody in Hollywood sane?
