She looks good and dress is cute. If she's had work done (e.g., botox, a mini-facelift), it's been well done, subtle and keeping her recognizable.

She's so beautiful. Botox or not, she always looks so natural. You can tell she's barely wearing any makeup (unlike most celebs, where you can see how much foundation they have spackled on their faces) and her skin is so pretty. I'd kill for her hair color, too.
Lucky!
I'm the exact same way -- I'm always really paranoid about gaining weight because I don't want to look like I did back then. Even so, it pains me to see someone gorgeous and successful like Julianne forcing herself to be the Hollywood ideal (didn't she say she practically lives on nothing but granola bars?). And I'm a hypocrite, because if I gained 10 pounds, I'd be really upset, but if she did, I'd still think she's gorgeous (so how screwed up does that make me?). I don't doubt it would affect her career, though, which is sad. Hollywood and its standards are truly effed up.
According to IMDb, most of her projects are "in talks" right now. I wish they'd hurry up and get them made. I really like her as an actress and wish she'd work more.

Okay, seriously, how does she looks so line-less? Don't tell me that it's just staying out of the sun, because I'm sorry, she's in her late 40s and she should have some expression lines of some sort on her forehead. She does have light crow's feet, but the rest is totally line-less. I'm thinking she has peels, botox, and light fillers? I'm 27 and have the same exact coloring, so I'm desperate to know her secret, for the coming decades. I'm 34 and do not have any wrinkles at all, not even one teeny tiny crow's foot. It's not genetic because the rest of my family have normal wrinkling. I get carded pretty frequently and the legal age here is 18. For me, what works: - SPF 30, every day, always, no exceptions. Embrace the pale! - Sunglasses every day, always, no exceptions. - If I'm outside in strong sun, I wear a hat or at least try to keep my face shaded. - RETIN A!! The strongest you can handle (start weak and work up.) - The obvious: eat well, stay hydrated. - Extra weight helps keep the lines plumped, though I am always trying to lose it, and would gladly exchange some wrinkles to be 20 pounds thinner (she writes, eating leftover pizza) Given how my skin looks now, I don't think it's unrealistic I could have Julianne's complexion at her age without surgical help. (Exception: I would also bet she's had botox between the brows and I expect to see a furrow or two there by my 40s.)

[off topic]Thingee, I'm always confused about how to pick products that had Retin A in them. Do you have any recommendations? [/off topic]
I'm very sorry to hear that Julianne Moore has to work so hard to stay thin. I actually thought she was larger than she is and thought she didn't care. Oops. I think she is absolutely lovely and hope she starts working soon.

Thingee, not to turn this into a skin-care thread, but have you tried the Neutrogena SPF 70 with Helioplex? I'm extremely fair-skinned, and I've worn sunscreen since I was 19, but just a few months with the Helioplex every day and I've seen a real difference. I'm 36, BTW.
And oh yeah...RETIN A RULES!!!! The first few weeks are kind of tough with the peeling and stinging, but so worth it.
Topic? Julianne Moore is so pretty. And talented. And pretty.

Thanks, Shanmac and Thingee! I have no doubt that you two are stunning!
OT: I also wear sunscreen religiously, use prescription Retin-A, wear sunglasses, etc. However, I can't seem to find any daily moisturizer with an SPF over 15 that won't break me out. Any suggestions?
Julianne always look great.

Clinique Super City Block. Everthing breaks me out, but this stuff is so awesome I even use it as a moisturizer. SPF 40, baby. It's really nice under makeup. Sorry. Carry on with the talk of Julianne Moore.

[off topic] Thingee, I'm always confused about how to pick products that had Retin A in them. Do you have any recommendations? [/off topic] I only use prescription strength that my doctor prescribes. I also have some super-strength that I got from Mexico that I use on tough blemishes. I don't know that real Retin A is available OTC here, maybe it is in the USA? Thingee, not to turn this into a skin-care thread, but have you tried the Neutrogena SPF 70 with Helioplex? I'm extremely fair-skinned, and I've worn sunscreen since I was 19, but just a few months with the Helioplex every day and I've seen a real difference. I'm 36, BTW. No, but that sounds awesome! I haven't seen it here, so maybe not available in Canada. I do find that Neutrogena products really agree with my skin, so I may go on a hunt. Hmm. OT: I also wear sunscreen religiously, use prescription Retin-A, wear sunglasses, etc. However, I can't seem to find any daily moisturizer with an SPF over 15 that won't break me out. Any suggestions? Same here, so I tend to moisturise separately and then SPF over that. I use Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Moisture Gel and then Vichy sunscreen over that. Makeup Alley is an excellent resource for reviews and info about sunscreen and skin care. The forums are clunky but the posters are very knowledgeable. Back to topic: JM is gorgeous and damn would I kill for her hair! My mousy brown is ick and as much as I fuss over my skin, I have long given up on ever having beautiful hair. Ah well.

oxygen1234, to follow up on Retin-A: if you live in the US it is prescription only (it is not the same thing as retinol, which is much weaker and available OTC) and I have yet to hear rumblings of making it OTC. I use it for acne, and a lot of dermatologists and even GPs are willing to prescribe it to reverse sun damage and help wrinkles. It's worth asking if you're willing to be diligent about sunscreen use.
Topic: Julianne looks a little space-age in those boots at YSL, but her hair is gorgeous. What's she doing next?
