I love her. She was so good in 'La Vie En Rose'. She completely transformed into Edith Pilaf. Especially in this scene. For those that want to remain unspoiled, the link leads to a clip from the movie. She looked really pretty at yesterday's Academy nominees luncheon. I'm so hoping that she wins the Oscar. It looks like she'll be busy in the next year (unless the strike continues). She just signed on for 2 movies. One with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, and the other one with Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.

I've only seen her in "A Good Year" with Russell Crowe and she was so beautiful in that.

Haven't seen La Vie En Rose yet but finally got the DVD from the library today so will probably watch it later. I remember her from Big Fish and A very long engagement. She's so beautiful. In all those recent pics from the different award shows and promo stuff she attended she always looked great. Very pretty. I love how she completely embraces her Oscar experience and really seems to enjoy all of it. Her outfit for the Oscar luncheon yesterday was lovely.

Oh man, I was a sobbing puddle on the theater floor during La Vie En Rose, especially after this scene. What a performance! I really, really want her to upset Julie Christie for the Oscar. Mostly because she was brilliant as Piaf, but also just a little because, based on how sweet and excited she's seemed in interviews, I think she'd be adorable in her acceptance speech.

I normally don't care for French movies with subtitles, but I rented "La Vie En Rose" out of sheer curiosity when I read its movie distributor Picturehouse was pushing an actress that I had never heard of for the awards, when initally there was so much buzz that they would be backing Jennifer Lopez for "El Cantante", but I enjoyed the movie subtitles and all, and stayed glued to the TV mainly because of Marion Cotillard's performance.
She is so pretty and was amazing in that role, and if she wins that Oscar she truly deserves it.

Wait? Was she the murdering, prostitute girlfriend in "A Very Long Engagement"? If so--damn she kicks some ass!

Does anyone think that she could cause an upset at the Oscars? I know it seems like a given that Julie Christie will win best actress, but could Marion get it? Everybody raves about her performance, especially people like Cate Blanchett. When your fellow actors heap so much praise on you, I think that really says something.
