Singing a snippet of a Piaf song in the Press Room. Her voice is pretty good! Now I'm even more excited to see her and Javier Bardem in the Nine musical movie.

Yay! So happy she won. She's gorgeous and a sweetheart.

Aw! She was super cute when she won. I loved how she just jumped into Forest's arms and later they walked off together chatting and laughing. Nice moment for both.

She's just beautiful. I was a bit disappointed for Julie Christie, but MC was my second choice and in a way I'm glad that she got it b/c I could feel her hunger for the role.

I haven't seen the movie (yet--off to Amazon soon) but she seemed so genuine and appreciative. That's always so cool to see. And I've seen clips of her lip synching--I could. have. SWORN? she was singing. Awesome.
ETA: Just saw the singing clip after the awards. Does anything sound bad in French? //Romantic sigh//

Forest Whitaker has what has got to be one of the kindest faces on the planet. I've always thought it was cool how some presenters are so solicitous of "their" winners, who have got to be out of their minds at that point, without stepping all over the winner's moment in the sun, and this was definitely one of those times. Really nice.
OT: I remember reading somewhere that Sharon Stone, when she's presenting an award, makes a point of hanging onto the envelope and its contents as a keepsake for the winner. Sweet.
