Does he also eschew shellfish, polyester, pork and cheeseburgers? He definitely endorses Subway. Remember his lameass office birthday party. That reference will never get old! #neverforget * Seriously, he can be 80 years old, and I will still find that funny.

Why I'm even trying untangle this logic is beyond me, but...those two things seem at odds. If each person is getting "their part right," wouldn't that mean that they're both treating each other well? Or is it not the man's job to treat a woman well, just her job to honor and follow whatever he's doing? On a semi-related note, someone actually played his shitty Fireproof movie for me. I didn't get very far into it, it was like watching a bad HR video, but with fake marriage scenarios instead of fake sexual harassment or dangers in the workplace. I'd recommend it for its comedic value at least.

A lot of people don’t know that marriage comes with instructions. And, we find them right there in God’s word. My marriage appears to have come with the badly translated Chinese instructions that leave a few extra pieces left over and the whole apparatus is shaky and unsound. Thanks, God!

I am SO ready for him to get caught with a transsexual prostitute in the stall of a seedy public bathroom. Seems like it's long overdue.

See, I'm thinking more stuffed-crawl-space with this guy. He hates women soooo much. Dumbass Jerkles.

According to the True Hollywood Story about Growing Pains- he actually had a stalker, and a pretty scary one. The stalker got caught on the lot of the show and Kirkles was understandably pretty shaken up about it. It was during a hiatus, while he was still in shock over the stalker incident that Ray Comfort got his banana handling meat hooks into young Kirk. The kid was very young still and had just been through a traumatic life event so I will side eye Mr. Comfort forever as predatory and possibly worse than that. But at any rate, Comfort's special brand of 'Be the Biggest Judgemental Douchebag You Can Be' religion (I can't even bring myself to call it Christianity, it's so far off the mark) gave Kirk a new purpose in life and made him feel better about the whole stalker thing while he was busy judging everyone around him and making his whole cast and crew miserable.
So while I blame Ray Comfort for swooping in and taking advantage of an extremely vulnerable youth, I'm still amazed that Kirk has stuck with it all these years. On the one hand, you'd think being that judgemental 24/7 would be exhausting. On the other hand, feeling that smug and self-righteous might be like a happy drug as well. I mean, he's right ALL the time! And he already had the persecution complex after the stalker incident so that's nothing new to him. His wife and kids have to bow to his every command so that's a sweet deal. And even if his staff secretly hates him and gives him the saddest birthday parties ever... it doesn't even matter. Jesus loves him best!!!
Kirk might not have a secret scandal looming. He's probably pretty content with his life of judging everyone, being the boss of his wife and reveling in his righteous persecution complex. I'll bet Ray Comfort has some skeletons buried under the banana peels in his closet though. That mustache of his. That must be full of secrets!!

Thanks GirlyGhoul ! I knew he had a stalker at some point, but didn't know the rest. I'm surprised to hear that he made the cast miserable, I assumed that Alan Thicke had enough clout to get that shit stopped before it started. Guess not.
Maybe someday his kids will write a memoir and let us know what it was like on the inside.

I didn't know about the stalker but did know that he became a royal pain on the show after his "conversion".
