It's been renewed for S11. I predict S11 will be even worse, the ratings will finally fall, and in desperation, TPTB will pander to the only remaining fans, the destiellers, and they'll finally get that Dean/Cas kiss they've been yammering about for the last six seasons.

Unpopular opinion, but I love Rowena.

Ya know. I actually enjoyed this past episode. Not in a Super Squee love it forever kind of way. But in a 'Well, that didn't suck too much!' I loved the call back to personal Heavens and that communication could come through a radio or other device. I also liked the gateway in the Heaven and that it was something hidden rather than something glaringly obvious. I liked the Brigade of Bobbies and that they were 'Surly'. Heh. I also liked Dean beating some Yuppie Millienials at pool. Dean going out for nachos and hustling while Sam took in a French Art Film is kinda the life I'd hope for the boys on their off days if the show hadn't turned into such a clusterfuck of nonsense. How many good old Saving People, Hunting Things: The Family Business episodes could have easily started out with Sam announcing he was going to the movies and Dean deciding to hit the bar... except that one or both of them would encounter some Monster of the Week that would then have to be dealt with by the episode's end. This WASN'T such an episode because of course we were dealing with Rowena, Hell Politics, Angel Politics, Mark of Cain Angst et al. But I still liked the background business of it all. I also liked Dean and Crowley's chat at the bar... and Crowley's Pitchfork in his drink. Their conversation grounded the show in its roots of being about Family, and what Family REALLY means. If Crowley's got his Groove Back- all the better. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Rowena... but maybe next time she shows up she'll actually do something worth watching. I'm so DONE with Boogertron and was rooting for Sam to out right blow his brains out. And Cas taking Boogertron's grace... what, no one thought of that before? And I doubt this is what would make the Destiel-ers happy, but there was Ho-Yay off the charts this episode with Cas and Boy-Hannah and Dean and his new lil buddy Crowley. Yeah, I'm sure it only counts if it's Dean and Cas making eyes at each other. The only time I got really excited was when Boogertron said solving the Mark of Cain was old magic on a God level or a LUCIFER level. The idea of them getting desperate enough to pop Lucy out of the cage makes me a lot more happy than such a thing ever should. (You know your shows gone wrong when rooting for the Devil is a good night) If they had their thinking caps on they WOULD spring Lucifer and have some fun with that again. At the very least, if it involves God magic or Lucifer magic... could it also maybe involve Gabriel magic? 'Cause the last time I actually jumped up and down while watching this show was when he 'kinda' showed up. Castiel asked if he was really dead and he never answered. Bring back Gabriel if ya can't get ahold of Lucifer. Hear me, Show?!?!?! Other than that I suppose I should feel nervous for Bobby and what the angels might do to him. But it sucks to see him again and have him snatched away the same it sucked with Gabriel's reappearance turned out to be a trick. (A Boogertron trick at that!) So yay Bobby, but meh if we never actually see him again. (And I know better than to hold my breath at all) Next week, I'm already happy about at least for (spoiler) The Evil Dead homage if nothing else

The reappearance of Bobby was the best part of this for me (and smart thinking on TPTB's part). I did enjoy a few bits, like Dean in the bar & the personal heavens. Otherwise I have to say, I watch this out of habit...because I've been watching it live since around S4. But otherwise it's not funny, heartfelt, sentimental or exciting anymore.
It also makes me wonder what analytics are used to measure popularity; with the internet & all, it must extend beyond Nielsen ratings, right? The target audience--which I have to believe is younger than my 40+ self--can't possibly all own Nielsen boxes.
I'm at a loss at what they can do for S11. We've seen: the Winchesters accidentally freeing a torrent of demons from hell, God unseated by Metatron, angels dumped from heaven, Dean taking on Death itself, Dean try--and fail--at leading a normal life, the brothers discovering the Men of Letters, everyone in the cast possessed by a demon at some point, plus every possible Big Bad you can think of, save a werewolf or two. I'm not being rhetorical when I ask, what next?
It seems like a great set to work on, in terms of personalities, and now that both leads are married with kids, I'm sure they're nice & comfy phoning it in for their paychecks. But I remember those original episodes (remember the yellow-eyed demon? Lucifer? Lillith?) at least...

It was a surprisingly decent episode. Sam actually got some screentime and lines, I liked Bobby's return and Crowley wised up about Rowena.

Bobby's heaven had that whole glaring omission OF HIS WIFE. Ahem. Sorry. If the actress wasn't available, they could have had a wife voice (heh) yell at him from offscreen about dinner or something. Dang. Seeing Bobby again reminded me of how far Show has fallen. (When Bobby wasn't reduced to Crochety Old Man That Says "Balls" and "Idjit(s)" All the Time.)
Is Charlie going to show up every few episodes now? Because, blah. They never keep the good/interesting female characters.

I actually liked last week's episode. They moved the plot forward and Sam got to interact with a guest star for a change.

Ding Dong, Charlie's gone! I can't stand Felicia Day and her studiedly quirky, cutesy-poo mannerisms. Good riddance!
And Dean, Sam isn't responsible for Mary Sue's death, the guy who killed her is, that and her egregious stupidity in leaving the safehouse, going alone to a cheap motel without any weapons, and sitting in front of a window.
