I also could not stand her. Not sure why the producers think she's a fan fave. She really can't act at all.

I also could not stand her. Not sure why the producers think she's a fan fave. She really can't act at all. I have no idea. She's exactly the same in everything I've seen her in, so I agree about the lack of acting ability, and the Manic Pixie Dream Girl/Nerd Goddess/Cutesy-poo schtick has not only worn thin, it's more than a little ridiculous in a woman nearing forty. The producers baffle me. I don't know where they're getting their audience feedback from, in the real world, AFAIC, Sam is quite popular, Charlie was tolerated at best, and everyone is sick and tired of the constant lies and angst between the brothers.

Dean gets more gravelly & Sam gets less attractive every coupla eps. I'm glad everyone has jobs & all, but I can't think of anything left to be explored here... As I've said before, they keep the fandom going by attending a shit ton of Cons & charming a bunch of folks with hip shaking & in-jokes.

Sam and Dean mad at each other again? Yawn. This is the new SPN motto. It replaces 'Hunting things, saving people, the family business'. So sad :-(! Very behind on commenting here (Life's been lifey!) And please forgive me, but I'm too lazy to go back find out the names of episodes. But the one where they found the Book of the Damned- I was deeply disappointed that they didn't make more references to Evil Dead. I mean, they had the cabin there and all. Plus, you know the Evil book made out of human skin, etc. Such wasted potential for some Evil Dead meta or at least a good old Bruce Campbell quote from Dean. Still, the very end with the music playing and the reveal that Sam did not burn the book- THAT part was actually good! I mean, we're talking 30 some seconds of good, but hey. The one with the Suicide Trap and the 'return' of Benny- Now that episode was REALLY good! Very old school! It reminded me a lot of Dream a Little Dream or Dark Side of the Moon. Plus, I knew something was off with Rowena- but the reveal at the end that she was never there actually got me! I had to go back and give it a rewatch to hunt for clues (ala Sixth Sense) and yup, they were all there but so very very subtle that I didn't catch it! I just thought Rowena was acting off to trick Sam, not that she was in fact his Benny. Plus the brothers both spilling blood to open the trap was very AWWWWW! So again, very old school and enjoyable- which is SOOOOO rare... or rather, let's face it NON-Existant on SPN these days. The only thing that bugged me a little was Sam getting so swoony/ imperiled by the blood loss. It didn't look like he lost THAT much blood. He lost a whole lot more back when the ghouls tried to drain him and he was perky enough after that to help Dean burn their half-brother's corpse (yeah, remember that guy?) But still, REALLY great episode. Shockingly good! Between Benny and Rowena's dueling accents I had to enable the Closed Captions, but that didn't distract from how well written and entertaining it was overall. I'm stunned! Did they keep it up? No of course not. I don't even feel like commenting on the Claire episode. I'm glad they wrapped up the Amelia/Claire storyline once and for all (I mean, after Castiel permanently left them bereft of husband and father), but of course they did it in a horrible way and Claire was becoming very annoying. Hope she stays gone now. The big Charlie croaks it episode- Blegh! I didn't even like Charlie. She never grew on me. But I HATED how they killed her off. For one thing, it was SOOOOOO stupid! In order to get killed, Charlie had to do the dumbest ass thing by leaving her safe house. Castiel and Sam are set up to take the blame there- but really it was Charlie doing a dumb ass thing which reflects badly on her character and is also lazy ass writing. PLUS, its completely recycled drama! They're in the writing room, pondering what to come up with next and find the old script that says "Dean does a dumb ass thing to save Sam. Lies to Sam constantly about it. Gets Kevin to help decode some ancient crap to fix the situation. Kevin figures it out, but then gets his ass killed. Sam finds out about all the lies and blames Dean. Brotherly angst ensues" Rather than come up with something new, they switch Sam and Dean and replace Kevin with Charlie... then go out for beers feeling ever so smart! Blergh and Blergh again! Last episode. Well, Super!Dark!Dean is pretty hot actually. But past the hotness, I can't really care. I saw some interwebs hand wringings over the fact that Dean crossed a line by killing an 'innocent' teenager. But at this point... so? Innocent people croak it all the time on this show. Sam, Dean, Cas, everybody's killed countless meatsuits of angels and demons alike... and it's all just something for Dean to beat himself up over later. Unless they keep him Super!Dark!Dean for the rest of the show's run. (I'm not opposed. Not at all!) The only other comments I could manage over last night's episode was when Sam was chopping wood for Charlie's pyre... Did he really need all those layers of clothes to do that? And couldn't Dean have shed some clothes and chopped some wood too? And when Sam was telling Crowley he was a monster all I could think was 'No Sam, your hairdresser is a monster!' Then Crowley tossed Sam through a window and lo and behold his hair looked BETTER after that! So either get a new hairdresser or constantly throw Sam through windows. Maybe that can be the wrap up to the whole series. Dean stays Dark! Constantly throws Sam through windows to keep his hair looking good and Cas jumps in now and then to try to referee. None of them need clothes for this, by the way! Overall- meh. Is there REALLY gonna be an 11th season?

Jared Padelecki fighting depression, posting cryptic tweets... He notes the past 10 years as being 'hard,' and Jensen urges him to 'never stop fighting' (slogan for his mental illness campaign). Apparently had a breakdown on set in S3, and has lost some friends to suicide. I had no clue, and when celebs go through this stuff on social media it always rattles me. Like, is he okay??

I hope he's okay. He seems like a nice guy from what I hear. I'm not saying this is the whole reason, but the absolutely psychotic hate he gets from the deannuts and destiellers can't help his depression issues.
Those kids definitely have the Padalecki nose.

I don't follow him on twitter, but maybe a year (?) ago I was browsing & his profile read something kinda cocky, now it's all lowercase: im doing the best that i can. Hell, I'll throw some good vibes out there for him. Maybe the Con scene was overwhelming for him, I can't imagine being on all that time unless I had the right energy. This year maybe he needs a break.
