I'm just glad that I was able to see the show before Fox shoved their heads up their collective asses.

I saw part of My Stepmother is an Alien yesterday and was amazed when a tiny (tinier) Seth Green showed up to take Alyson Hannigan's character to a school dance. They were so cute and very un-Willow and un-Oz like.

Have been home sick with the flu and my cable is out, so I've been watching season two for the last day or so. I forgot how much I loved this show. Passion really is my all-time favorite episode. Now on to the cry-fest that is Becoming: "Close your eyes."

I re-watched "Once More With Feeling" last night and remembered why I liked the show in the first place. I really do like Spike and Buffy together. Everything isn't rosy or easy to figure out. I thought Buffy and Angel were too perfect together. And well, I thought Riley was insincere and thought of himself as the "perfect boyfriend" but was far from it.
Over the years, though, I have grown to love Anya. Her directness is refreshing. I thought she was one of the more complicated characters on the show. However, Xander was a jerk to her.

I started Netflixing Buffy and I am almost finished with Season 1. I know this show is legendary, and I had never really watched it before, so I decided I would start from the beginning. It's okay, but I guess I am not really into it so far. A lot of if of course seems outdated (this was 1997). Does it get better after Season 1? Maybe this is just not my type of show.

It isn't my type of show either, but I really enjoyed it--I say they hit their stride in Seasons Two and Three.

Hang in there...it gets MUCH better. I'm in the middle of a re-watch (probably my 100th) right now. Still enjoy it just as much now as I did before.

I also think you should continuing watching. At least until season two and three. IMO, I think that those were the best seasons of the show.

My favorite show of all time!! I have the entire series on VHS tapes, but sadly no VCR to play it on. Ack!!
I've been catching random episodes on Logo, and absolutely fell in love again. I watched Something Blue last night, and laughed til I cried. Then Hush came on, and I was majorly creeped out. They really don't make 'em like they used to.
Hang in there puretrash. Season 1 is a little dry, and everyone is finding their footing, but S2 is awesome, and introduces us to Spike (sigh--how I loved William the Bloody).

I've introduced a bunch of people to this show, and I always skip a bunch of episodes in season 1 because it's just soooo ott campy. People are always like, "Eh, it's okay" when we're in season 1, but after that they get really into it.
