Anyone else feel throat tightening terror at the thought that something awful happened to Will's dogs?
This was the first time I actually was grossed out. Sure, Mason had it coming, but the fact that you couldn't see the end result just made one's imagination fill things in.

I knew it was coming, and still shrieked through the entire scene. I'm glad we didn't have to see his face afterward.

I had hoped they'd string the Mason Verger storyline out a bit more (I mean, the bit before the self-mutilation). Michael Pitt is great in that role!

What gets me the most in that episode is the fact that we are fully aware of how monstrous and corrupting Hannibal is, but he just got Margot way more justice than she would be able to get in the legal system. Let's face it (sorry), Mason would have easily lawyered his way out of any possible charges she'd raise against him, and then wreaked even worse revenge on her.
Also I was knocked back by Bedelia's confession. I am more of the "Anyone who attacks you immediately waives the right to complain about what you do to them in kind" school but I wonder if the weird stillness that she has is less out of "I am focusing on keeping myself together in order to not collapse under my PTSD" and more that of a predator waiting for the prey to make a mistake.

This episode made me legit nauseous. I am traumatized! The face eating was just too much for me.
I don't know what to make of Bedelia. I just think Hannibal destroys everything he comes into contact with. She was giving me hella creeps. As Will has been since he got sprung from the booby hatch.

OK guys, I was...taken aback by this episode. I remembered the story line differently; I thought Mason got fed to the pigs and his scarring was a result of that. I can't tell you how still and horrified I was when Will was all "Whatcha doin'?" WTF HANNIBAL? And I still remember film Mason's face very clearly so I was steeled for that, but somehow the mask and Pitt still keeping the Joker/sociopath-casual voice freaked me out worse.
I think Will is walking a very, very fine line. I think Bedelia has survived Hannibal and has learned to maneuver through his world as carefully as possible. This guy sent someone to attack her & then insisted she keep treating him! Good grief, these people are scarred (no pun intended).
In other news, I wonder if Gina Torres will be in the finale...

I think that he eventually ends up pig chow, but the way he ends up maimed in the show follows the books.
I hear you on Will is walking a very fine line. And the way the show expresses that visually is genius. The way he dresses this season is way different than in the first season. I don't think he's worn his glasses since the trial. He is also wearing a lot less rumpled tweed and flannel, and when he walked back into Hannibal's office to resume therapy, he walks in with a new haircut that is short and not as tousled.
I guess the question is if this is a sign that he is coming under hannibal's influence, or he's using his fisherman skills to turn himself into tempting bait.

At this point, I can only take comfort in the fact that the third season of "Hannibal" will be here before the fouth season of "Sherlock"...
As for the stinger at the end.... Well played, Bryan Fuller, (golf clap)...

Damn! That was an amazing finale. Can you imagine if the show had been cancelled!? Thank God it is was renewed. That ticking clock was nerve jangling. The music in this show is so good. I want a soundtrack. Kudos to those who recognized there was something fishy with Bedelia, I totally bought she was just another victim of Hannibal's head games. Final walkthrough with Bryan Fuller on the finale with a little insight on what to expect in season 3. Although no hints on who lives and dies. My guess is Abigail is dead for sure, Jack lives, Alana it is fifty-fifty on if she survives.
