I remember in GOF there was a close up of her face, and on the big screen you could see some creases on her forehead from all the eyebrow raising. When she's 25 and is already getting forhead wrinkles, I think she might regret the eyebrow-acting.
That said, I still think she's probably a very sweet girl and whether that photo is posed or not, kids are kids and she's not the only 16-year-old knocking back Coronas. I think it's more telling that we've never heard any gossip about her being a brat on set or anything. She seems like a good kid.

I feel bad for her for all the hate she gets from HP fans. I'm so sensitive and stuff like that just makes me NOT want to be famous at all.

You hit the nail right on the head! It was so reminiscent of Joey Tribianni's soap-opera-acting class where he instructed students to pretend there was a fishook in their eyebrow. I agree that she was the strongest of the trio in the previous movies, but GoF? Not so much. I just hope she does better under the direction of...this new guy...whatever his name is...since I know she can do it, dammit! Her background? I'm intrigued. I avoid those Fanwanky boards like the plague (HermionePotter.net scared the pants off of me) but I'd like to know a sane person's account of what goes on over there! Could you give me a few details, please? As for her taste in beer--Corona with Lime--if you're going to break the law, you'd better do it right. Yum. (I also think it's posed.)

I don't think she was really drinking the Corona. It looked like she was goofin around, like she grabbed a beer from someone at the table and said, "hey take a pic of me chugging back this beer!"
And I'm usually highly suspicious of slebs. Anyway, I just don't think she's a lush.

Man. So she has a couple beers? I think it would be hard to find many kids her age who haven't tried alcohol or drink from time to time. She seems to be a normal teenage girl with an abnormal job. I feel sorry for her. These pictures seem to be personal photos and someone leaked them. Nice friends...

I'm always suspicious of the source of photos for non-famewhores.
For instance, if you work in a photo lab, you can copy any picture off of any roll of film that comes through and no one would ever be any the wiser. (You can snag some really, ahem, *interesting* pictures thataway, and then be the jerk who sells the picture to a local magazine and get a few bucks off the deal.)
Or, it could have been a whole innocent thing. Like, someone catches a picture of a celeb with her cell phone, which *shrug* Watson might see a lot and think nothing of (I'm sure it happens to her all the time, she may even be flattered by it). She's so excited to have seen a real life celeb that she sends it to ten friends, who send it to ten friends. Of those one hundred, one is a scumbucket who thinks she's a lush and reports it to some tabloid or website or whatever.
Seeing as how Watson doesn't strike me as a famewhore, I'm more than willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. I'll go with 'she's just a kid being a kid', which is fine by me. (Because we haven't heard of a particularly wild bender to go along with the pic anyway)

There were a ton a pics that appeared a couple of weeks ago showing her with a group of friends. Several showed her friends holding beers and Emma looking quite sloshed herself. They all looked like they were taken a parties by people outside her group, and it made me feel bad for her. I don't doubt that she drinks because it's a huge part of being a teen. It's too bad that she can't go out at all with her friends without being stalked by cell phone cameras.

Her background? I'm intrigued. I avoid those Fanwanky boards like the plague (HermionePotter.net scared the pants off of me) but I'd like to know a sane person's account of what goes on over there! Could you give me a few details, please? Well the resentment in the fandom toward DR and EW about social class begins with how they were discovered. Emma was found in a casting session at her school, one of those very ritzy public institutions (in the UK sense). Dan had acted before, but wasn't actively seeking out the part of Harry. One night during the great Harry quest, his father took him to a play, which David Heyman, the producer of the HP films, also happened to attend. Dan's father and DH knew each other, and when he was introduced to Dan, he knew he had found the right boy for the part. Contrast that with Rupert, who had been a big fan of the books, heard about the search for Ron and sent in a homemade rap video. Some think DR and EW had an unfair advantage due to their connections. The class thing also comes out whenever the three of them are interviewed...Rupert is not exactly articulate with the media anymore and left school after he had taken his GCSEs, while Dan has continued his studies and Emma says she wants to go to university. RG isn't particularly loquacious with the media anymore, while EW and DR are much more articulate and tend to do more solo interviews than RG. Dan has also (surprisingly) admitted that he is closer to Emma than Rupert, and some fans say it's because they're from the same social class, have more in common, and are therefore more comfortable with each other (and then there are the fans who think it's because Dan and Emma are secret lovahs, but that's another post).

That's interestinglallybroch. I thought that Dan was discovered when the producer went to a play that Dan Radcliffe was acting in...and then they decided he was perfect. Either way, I can't imagine anyone else playing Harry (acting chops or not).
I've become quite attached to the entire cast and hope they all continue to make the movies.
There are more pictures on ONTD of Emma and her "drinking". It may be the photo developers, not so close friends that are in the company of Emma but these are not the first pics I've seen of a private nature.
I like that she seems like a natural teenage girl and that we've never heard anything about her being a spoiled brat. I think the difference between her and La Lohan is that Watson SEEMS to have a better set of parents...just my opinion.

I think that is definitely part of it, if not the biggest part. Watson just kinda stumbled into this thing and her parents are probably trying hard to keep her grounded. Dinah Lohan is a total famewhore who is living vicariously through her daughter and will encourage Lindsay to pimp herself out in any way possible to make sure the cameras still follow her and the party invitations keep coming in.
She's hardly the first 15 year old to drink a beer - and it was just a beer. It isn't like they caught her snorting coke or shooting heroin. If those indeed were pictures leaked by a friend or someone who infiltrated that party, then I feel sorry for her. It must be hard enough to have that level of fame, I can't imagine what it must be like to have her every move ripped to shreds by the crazies. Hopefully she just doesn't look at that stuff.
