First look: It looks like something she's worn before. Second look: Nope. Just no. I can't think of anyone (other than Rihanna maybe) that can pull off full body gold lamé/rhinestones.

That second dress... That's where my holographic Christmas paper went.

Take the sleeves off the first dress and it would look awesome. The second dress appears to have been purchased at Phyllis Diller's estate sale.

I kind of love it, and not just because I have a soft spot for Phyllis Diller.

I kind of love it, and not just because I have a soft spot for Phyllis Diller. Me too. She, Rhianna, and Tilda Swinton always can pull off these crazy/ugly/weird designs that most of us mere mortals can't....while looking awesome.

I like the idea of the first one, but something went terribly wrong with the fabric choice, construction, and tailoring. She looks like a linebacker and that hem hits her in all the wrong places. The gold chain needs to go, it looks like it got lost and belongs somewhere else, probably the donation bag I keep in my closet.
Is the second one a Hallowe'en costume? Did she go as a young Blanche Deveraux? If so, 100% success.
Of course, whatever she wears, she can't conceal her beauty; here bone structure is amazing.

The first dress looks like a stolen circus tent from a world of smurf sized people.
I feel like she has that second dress on backward.

Man, I hate her clothes. Maybe I just don't get it. I don't care. I think her taste is fug. Oh god, I just flashed back on that god awful blue dress with cut out butterflies or twee little birds. Just,no. FUG.

Her clothes are almost always fugly. I realized the reason it doesn't bother me is that she has no sex appeal to me anyway, so it's not a disappointment to see her wrapped up in a spangly sack dress. When I see someone like Margot Robbie wearing a droopy granny dress I feel like she's hiding her assets.
I soured on Cate during her Blue Jasmine Oscar campaign and she's never really won me back. I have grown to hate her mannered, hammy acting, and to me, Blue Jasmine exemplified all of her worst qualities. I loathed that movie.
I also loathed The Monuments Men and everyone in it. I made it through very little of that movie before turning it off, so I only witnessed one scene of Blanchett pulling out her stupid French accent. It seemed like the same role to me as her role in The Good German except stupid German accent in that one. I hate George Clooney's boys club movies and how they always have one ridiculous role for a woman.
And, as mentioned, her patronizing response to Dylan Farrow infuriates me to this day. Her supposed classiness is way overblown.

I agree with you. She named her son Roman after Polanski and that tells me all I need to know.
