I think everyone assumes that part of Katie getting what she wanted in the divorce involved her never disclosing what she knows about Cruise & the Church.
Even when Katie released that statement when Leah's book came out that she regretted having upset Leah in the past, people were wondering whether she might have been treading on dangerous territory legally.

Finally got around to watching the second episode, and good gravy, the stuff they've been doing to Mike Rinder is batshit crazy. I knew they did stuff like that, but hiding a camera in a neighbor's birdhouse so they could spy on him? Paying the garbage man to steal his garbage and hand it off to a PI? And then the lady they hired to befriend his wife and spy on him?? Good thing they are terrible and obvious - they moved and this lady followed them and moved into the same neighborhood? That is just bananas.
It really sad about his family still in the church. And that no family member told him when his mother died (he said he got a letter from some rando who just wanted to let him know). And the day his children and ex-wife showed up while he was waiting for his wife in the car outside of her doctor's office and just started screaming at him. The whole thing is just completely insane.
I did enjoy how at the end Leah was all, "Game on, bitches." I think she's one of those people who lives with the dial permanently cranked up to 11, which can be exhausting, but in a situation like this you need someone who refuses to back down.

I just started watching the A&E series and it's riveting. I'm glad to see it be exposed as the cult it is but wow the shit that they put people through is fucked up. Go Leah and go Mike Rinder.

Finally watching. I don't have cable so can't see all of them, but currently watching the second episode since it's unlocked. Seeing which friends have cable and will give me their account info to log in with to watch the others!

A&E also had an episode "extra" last week that was about 20 minutes of Leah doing a Q&A about Scientology. I saw a couple of minutes of it and it was really interesting, but this was at 1 am, so I checked to make sure it was On Demand and went to bed. And now it's no longer On Demand! Crap.

Just watched the 3rd episode. I was crying at the end. This is actually riveting (and I thought I knew quite a bit about Scienos already). I hope this effects some change- and I think it might. Go Leah!

I think it HAS to affect any new enrollments. Sadly, a lot of the people who are already in will probably never see it.

The guy that she has on the next episode, Marc Headley, wrote a book I've talked about on here "Blown for Good" about his 15 year in Scientology as a member of the Sea Org. The guy helped pull together so many of the spectacles that David Miscavige wanted...then had to deal with Miscavige's abuse if one thing wasn't right.

I have been watching the A&E series, and I also just finished her book today. It was fascinating. I knew some of the stories already, but not all the details. It was also interesting to find out how Leah and her family got into Scientology in the first place, and then the unraveling of her devotion to it. She really is one of the lucky ones that got out in that her family left with her. I had no idea about the stuff with Nazanin Boniadi. That poor woman. Also, Jennifer Lopez actually seems like a pretty cool person...? I have no idea how to process that now.

I agree that the series is really good. I thought this week's episode was excellent, particularly pointing out the costs and the up and down the Bridge stuff.
They promoted a one-hour special this Monday in which Leah answers questions that she didn't have time for during the Reddit ama. I can't wait!
