Billy Mumy grew up and formed Barnes and Barnes, the duo who wrote "FishHeads". ( I hope you know it, because trying to explain the song FishHeads is bloody impossible.) He's quite the loony musician, just like Al. They've known each other almost since the late seventies. Every time I dredge up these dorky little facts from the back of my memory, I remind myself that I am White and Nerdy.

As a daycamp counselor in college I taught my 6-year-olds how to sing it while we were making Popsicle-stick fish skeletons. Topic? Al is hot, hot, hot with short hair. Cute nerds turn me on.

I'm glad I'm not alone... I was going to head over to the 'Embarrassing Celebrity Crush' thread to say that I think, in a weird way, he's a bit of a hottie! I've always loved nerdy guys.

Heh, he's got kind of a Morrissey-esque pose going on in that picture with the short hair. I agree, he's surprisingly good-looking. Plus, you have to have loads of respect for a guy who's managed to create a long lasting and successful music career by play the accordian.

Lets start a Married to Geeks club! I, too, married a D&D/Comic Book/Action Figure Collector/Sci-fi nerd myself! I wouldn't have it any other way! I was just a wee one when I first got into Weird Al. In fact, my first cassette tape was "Weird Al Yankovic in 3-D" and I was oddly attracted to him and kind of embarrassed about it. It's funny to find out what a normal and nice guy he is. I'm positively giddy that his thread has been on the first page of the boards for a few days now. I get the song "I'm gonna buy me a condo" in my head every time I come to the Greecie boards now.

"Gonna buy me a condo, gonna buy me a cuisinart, get the wall to wall carpeting, get the wallet for my credit cards... gonna buy me a condo, never have to mow the lawn. Gonna get me the t-shirt with the alligator on."
Tell me that ain't art.

"Jah, Jah, Jah, life is so very hard. I need a Jah, Jah, Jah, Jah-cuzzi in the backyard." How I luurve the Al. I've been a drooling fanatic since '79 and "My Balogna", and I'm the proud owner of a pair of Al's boxer shorts, pulled out of his pants and thrown into my face, during the Elvis-esque performance of "One More Minute" at one of his concerts.

Fish heads has become the fake boob song for every time one sees ....well.....fake boobs. "Fake boobs, fake boobs. ooie gooie fake boobs.... Fake boobs, fake boobs eat 'um up yum... Another one is Cowtown by They Might Be Giants....but we sing that one straight.
