I love how much everyone loves this guy.
The Iraqi at the shows must have been like WTF'ityF?? though. It took the US public several months to figure out his act (arguably someone in the GOP never did) and they had some context to work with. If you were entirely unfamiliar with right wing talk radio you'd probably think everyone had gone mad.

Yeah, Colbert basically handed him his ass at that Dinner, so I gotta give ol' Dubya some points for being able to joke about it now and for appearing on Colbert's show at all. Yes, he's doing it for the troops, but you can bet your bippy that Cheney wouldn't go anywhere near it.
I know all guests are briefed beforehand about Colbert's act, but I'm sure a lot gets lost in the language/cultural translation.

My favorite part of last night's episode was Stephen flying with the Thunderbirds. He looks good in that flight suit.

Just wanted to pass this on: My friend's wife is dying of Stage 4 breast cancer and was recently given the prognosis of a week or so to live. I don't know the logistics, but somehow the hospital arranged for Stephen to visit my friend's wife, who is apparently a fan. I checked their blog and saw him posing right there with her. I was very impressed that he did that. I thought the fans might appreciate this story. (I definitely like him but don't follow his show because I don't watch TV very often.)

OMG. I am very sorry to hear about your friend's wife, cinnacism. That's incredibly compassionate of Mr. Colbert.

I'm so sorry about your friend's wife and, yes, that was very kind of Colbert. Reason #3849274392 why I love him.

I have a Colbert Nation speedskating hat in the corner of the back window of my car.

I follow him on twitter and he has not tweeted in a couple of days. I hope that this is just maybe a minor illness or something, it is worrisome that no reason was given.
