By the way, I believe that Boehner's display of emotion was genuine. It also made sense on some level to host the Pope in DC. Marky Mark Mark Wahlberg? In Philly? How random!

He would have gotten his ass kicked if showed any passion cheering for another team.

So Boston didn't have any other prominent Catholics who were available to emcee? That is just so weird to me. I've told this story before here, but Marky Mark hit it big my senior year in college and I remember looking at his big Marky Mark coffee table book in the university bookstore and the dedication inside read "I want to dedicate this book to my dick." So, yes, Boston. Appropriate choice for introducing the holy father.
