I looked and looked but couldn't find a thread for him. Surprising!

Anyway, Mark Wahlberg, John Leguizamo and Zooey Deschanel are shooting a new M. Night Shyamalan movie across the street from my office in Phoenixville, PA this week.

I walked over on my lunch break yesterday and took a bunch of pictures of Mark. He was VERY cool with the dozen or so gawkers lined up. He was breaking for lunch and said he'd be back later to talk with fans. Unfortunately, I had to get back to work before then.

I'm going over there again today and hopefully will get more pics.

I was a hard sell on Mark Wahlberg for the longest time, I think because of those Calvin Klein ads with him in the unzipped jeans with the underwear riding up. I dunno, I suppose to some it looked sexy but to me it was all "How can you take a guy like that seriously, unless, maybe, you're a gay guy?" But then I saw him in something (I think it was Three Kings) and I liked him a lot and had to revise my opinion.

Him in a Shyamalan film? Interesting. (Something I really, really don't miss about FT is how if you said anything positive about Shyamalan or a Shyamalan film, the moderator (forget her/his name) would lash out with "Hack! He's a Haaaack!" Okay, you don't like him, can you let others' have an opinion...?)

But yeah, I never thought I'd say it, but now Wahlberg is one of my favorites. And I'm finally starting to not mix him up with Matt Damon.

His last cover article in Premier magazine made him out to be a douche. He went on and on and on and on about how uncomfortable he would've been to play one of the characters in Brokeback Mountain (he met with Ang Lee and everything). Dude, okay, you're *straight*. Shut the fuck up.

I love him. He's crazy hot and he was great on his stint on 'Inside The Actors Studio' (it's on YouTube for anyone who's interested). I think he's turning into a really fine actor.

Marky Mark should do more comedy. I thought he was absolutely great in I Heart Huckabees. Never been impressed with him in anything else except maybe the last scene of Boogie Nights.

I was rooting for him to win the Oscar. I wouldn't have guessed that Marky Mark was a talented actor.
