I just came home and started watching the news, but I didn't hear the whole story. I just caught a video of him at the Oscars, I guess since Sting was in the frame with him, and heard something about someone being arrested for a DUI. I didn't know if it was him or Sting, they were referring to, but I guess it turned out to be Bill Murray. (Not that I wanted Sting to be the one to get arrested either.) It doesn't seem too serious though because it was a golf cart, but I still don't like to see him connected to a drunk driving incident. Bill Murray was offering a drop off serviceI wish he'd do more comedy though like Groundhog Day and not this kind of stuff that seems to be Oscar baiting. I mean I loved him in Rushmore, but ever since that time it seems like he's just been doing a variation of Herman Blume, at least in most of his "serious" movies not the ones he took for money. I still love him though, so I hope everything works out for him.

One of the initial articles about his arrest also said that in Sweden it takes a very low blood alcohol level to get pegged for DUI. They also gave Murray's BAL but I don't remember what it was.

My dad's best friend was once Bill Murray's high school Spanish teacher. He has nothing but loathing for Bill Murray to this day. (Apparently, Mr. Murray was - shocker! - a bit of a smartass in his youth.)

I love Bill. I think he's funny and talented and he came of really well in that Saturday Night-book.
He's my older man-crush.

I didn't like The Life Aquatic all that much, but the part when Bill Murray starts dancing to the music piped into his helmet is just, punch-in-the-gut funny.

Stripes....one of the funniest movies ever, and he and Harold Ramis were terrific in it. My DH and I quote that movie frequently.

I am a massively huge Bill Murray fan, but more of his eighties stuff than today: Meatballs, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Scrooged- comedy gold, people!
I agree that he does come off as a jerk sometimes, but I also read "Live in New York", and his castmates seem to love him to death, unlike Chevy.
