That boy needs a haircut immediately. Without the little suit, I would think he was a girl.

Whenever I think of Celine, I get this mental image of her in her wedding dress, with that horrible sparkly helmet-headpiece.

A few weeks ago, People profiled Celine & Family in a pap-filled article about Celine's adoration of her husband, her love of performing, her plans to procreate again, her kid digging long hair and so on. The mag ran a pic of the three of them (Celine and Rene standing on either side of RC who was on a table or chair.) It was just so weird. Celine looked emaciated and Rene looked embalmed. And the kid? He totally looked like a midget Meat Loaf. Very strange.

Oh my goodness, that's exactly what the boy looks like!

There's something about Celine that I really like, her unaffected dweebiness that shines through all the glitz. She seems very aware that she's not the coolest kid in school and is okay with it. But her husband creeps me out so much.... if he ever shows up on my TV, I run for the clicker.

I still remember her has the chubby little french girl who could belt it out. She was a total dweeb until she got to Hollywood. But the dweebiness still shines thru. ;D

I hate her music but I adore her. Weird I know, but she seems like such a sweet person.

I feel the exact same way. She does have to cut the kid's hair though. I was looking at that People spread and he REALLY looked like a girl. He even had on this girly looking t-shirt. Even if they'd just go for the shoulder length Hanson look it would be a vast improvement.

Strange about Celine: she's so known by the glitz and glamour and controlling handlers (Rene, ew), to say nothing of the overly dramatic chest-thumping style of performance (I think there are 2 songs out of her entire career that I like) that people sometimes forget she's got an amazing voice. I've always thought the Celine and not horrible scary Madonna should have played Evita in the film adaption of same -- that would have been spectacular.

Wow, pellacan, Celine belting out "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" would have blown away the first three rows of movie theater seats! I don't know if she could have handled the acting (well, she wouldn't have been any worse or obviously coached through every gesture than Madonna) but the voice would have been insane. In a good way.

There's a funny Lifetime TV biopic about her rise to fame that I can never turn away from when it's on. Even though Rene is portrayed as not having laid a hand on Celine until she was of age, it's still a little skeezy to see him as a 40-yr-old married guy with kids, while Celine was still a gawky 13-yr-old.
