There's a funny Lifetime TV biopic about her rise to fame that I can never turn away from when it's on. Even though Rene is portrayed as not having laid a hand on Celine until she was of age, it's still a little skeezy to see him as a 40-yr-old married guy with kids, while Celine was still a gawky 13-yr-old.

I love that movie! I thought the actress playing her did a good job. They totally glossed over the ick factor between Rene and Celine, because I definitely think there was some inappropriateness going on there before she became an adult. Also, some of the events happen out of order, and I wish they would have covered Rene's gambling problem, as well as the creation of her Vegas show. But it's a decent biopic, chock full of cheesy goodness!

I'm happy they're able to have more children. With Celine coming from some a large family and her love of children, this seemed really important to her.

It is a little creepy with the age difference and him knowing her at such a young age, but I guess when you spend so much time professionally with a person and they are extremely mature for their age, you could naturally fall in love with them. Eh. To each his own. They seem very much in love and in such support of one another.

I am very happy for Celine, but I wonder if this is bittersweet. There is a very good chance that Rene will not live to see this baby grow up. I realize that life and tragedy happens to a lot of people and children lose parents. But when you have a baby, you look into the future and envision your child growing up, graduation, getting married, etc. To know that you will probably not be here for those events, that is rather sad to me.

That was my first thought as well. Going to kindergarten with you 'grandpa'.

I was asked at the ripe old age of 38 if my 4 your old was my grand son!! the nerve.

For realz? Some people should just keep their thoughts to themselves. It's like don't ask women how old they are and don't assume that someone is pregnant.

And I agree that Rene is getting up there in years and having babies this late in the game does bring up some consequences. But, I think he doesn't want to deprive Celine the opportunity to have more kids.

She's been going on and on for years about how there was a second embryo/sample/whatever you call it in cold storage in NYC so I'm glad that they finally used it. To each their own!

I can't hate Celine though. She is probably the only celebrity alive that is completely without guile.
