Penelope is at Cannes to promote P of the C with Johnny Depp. She looks really great and totally radiant. Motherhood and marriage must be agreeing with her as she looked so happy sitting next to Johnny at the press conference.

I hope the movie does well. Love her.

I don't recall the exact quote, but I read recently where she said that one of the luxuries of having money is that she doesn't have to work with assholes anymore. If she meets with someone about a project, and they come across as an asshole, she will not do the movie. That really endeared her to me.

"If there's one thing I can afford to do, having worked so hard for all of these years, it's that if I go into a meeting with someone that is offering me a movie and I can clearly see they are going to be an asshole, I will not do the movie. No matter what it is."

At Cannes, she wore yet another black, lacy, mermaid silhouette gown. Okay, the mermaid thing is maybe a tie-in with her movie but really, how many black mermaid gowns can one woman wear? I mean, in addition to the mermaid gowns she's worn in other colors. Branch out, lady!

Well, if this is what happens when she branches out, I'd rather she stick to the black mermaid silhouette gowns.

On the cover of (US) Vogue

While I'm sure the picture has been touched up, I love that someone on the cover of Vogue actually looks like a human being. They must have really reined in their photoshop people.

Also, I have to admit, I'm a sucker for freckles.

That is an excellent example of how Photoshop should be used; it looks like it's just a really, really good picture of her. She looks bangin' in the bathing suit photo as well.

What pictures am I looking at? She looks good, but the photoshopping looks just as heavy-handed as any other Vogue cover. She has no facial or neck creases- or any creases anywhere on her body of clothing.
