I liked her dress too, but I must the only one who thought it was a bit much for a girl who just turned 15 - it made her look older somehow.

No, you weren't the only one. I thought she looked like a kid dressing up in her mother's clothes and makeup.

I guess Miley was what you'd call the dress wearing her, not her wearing the dress. It was certainly lovely, but she seemed a little overpowered. I'm not sure red, or at least not such a vibrant red, is a good color for her.

I also thought her dress was too old for her. Full length just doesn't look right on a girl that age, even at a formal event.

You know, 6 weeks ago I didn't know who this girl was, and now I am TOTALLY SICK OF HER!!! At least I don't have tweens, which should make it easier to avoid her, but I doubt it since she seems to have the PR firm that never sleeps.

I saw her on Leno with her dad. She was so obnoxious. I'm ashamed to say this, but I watched Hana Montana to see what all the fuss was about. Girl cannot act.

She can't sing for shit either. She has a song on Top 40 that's complete crap. The music itself is catchy so it sucks you in that way. I often find myself into the music and shuddering at her annoying voice all at the same time.

I mistook that song for an Ashlee Simpson track, just to give you an idea of how bad her voice is.

I think she also has a song with her dad that's playing on country stations that's not as bad. Her voice still leaves a lot to be desired, but it's not like nails through the brain.

I figure she'll probably end up a lot like Hilary Duff. Can't sing very well, can't act any better, not that cute but everywhere for a couple years and then all the attention is turned to the next Disney star.

I think Hilary Duff is cute with great fashion sense, and thought Lizzie Maguire was kind of cute for a Disney show. Hannah Montana blows my mind with the sucktitude. I am so tired of Miley and her denture looking teeth.

When the Oscars were on and Miley came out Mr Yossarian was like, "who the hell is that and what's with her name?" I explained that she was Billy Ray Cyrus' kid and that her stage name was derived from her nickname, Smiley. So after rolling around the floor in laughter Mr Y then decided, in honour of Miley, that I should call him "Tinky" as a derivation of his usual nickname, Stinky. Yes, he'd had a few beers at that point. Thanks for that contribution to my life, Miley!

Miley Cyrus Makes Name Change Official

She plays Hannah Montana, and was born Destiny Hope Cyrus, but now she's officially Miley Ray Cyrus.

Given the nickname "Smiley" when she was growing up, Entertainment Tonight reports that the 15-year-old has legally changed her name to Miley to reflect that. She chose to adopt Ray as her middle name in honor of her father, Billy Ray Cyrus

Lordy, I can't stand her! She's like Rachel Ray--cute and spunky when you first take notice of them, but they quickly become the most annoying, overrated, and obnoxious people you've ever encountered in pop culture. They even look sort of alike!

Miley is a dumb name, but it's better than "Destiny Hope."
