God, I loved this movie in all its immature glory. So many wonderful laugh out loud moments. I also love the anti-pot PSA and Kumar with the bag of weed, but other favorite parts were the Korean party at Princeton, the taco shits British girls, and, of course, the Hold On duet. Great movie!

We laughed and laughed and laughed when we saw this movie. It's great. It's been y-e-a-r-s since we have partaken, yet we still found it hilarious.

jaghetersimon, related to your point, I actually wanted to show it in a class I teach on immigration politics, but I figured I couldn't justify it enough.

I know a guy who tried out for the part of Kumar (there are about ten South Asian male actors in North America who all audition for the 3 speaking parts given each year ;D ). Anyway, he told me that "H&KGTWC" is the first non-musical American film to star two Asian male leads ("Flower Drum Song" and "Joy Luck Club" were really the only other non-indies to have all-Asian lead roles). Holy smokes, can someone get a march planned? A petition or sumpin'?

I love this movie too. If I ever decide to have a festival called Stupid Movies You Know You Shouldn't Like, But You Do, this movie will be on the bill, right after Baseketball.

I was really disappointed in how the distributor (or whoever) handled this movie. It came out in the summer when people are busy and going to movies isn't a priority, and they yanked it out of a lot of theaters after the second or third week despite that it was doing pretty well and getting great word-of-mouth. A lot of my friends said they would have loved to see it, but they either couldn't find it or the only theater showing it was too far away, and I think the BO suffered from that.

This movie is fucking gold man! Like many of you, I love the part with the PSA, especially when the one stoner gives a half assed "Noooooooooo!". Also, you can't forget about Freakshow. He was nice to the boys, but he was so gross!

I first saw this movie after watching several seasons of Oz from Netflix and many more years of Law & Order: SVU. So yeah, Freakshow definitely cemented my love for Chris Meloni.

When I first watched it, I seriously thought Freakshow was Woody Harrelson.
