Hey its that Girl I'll describe it but its pretty spoilery so only highlight it if you want to be spoiled. He was just completely silent and didn't change expressions, even when he was eating people or having all his limbs cut off. His eyes are just so huge and staring and he looks so innocent while doing all these unspeakable things. He also had long finger nails that he used to slash and stuff. It was the eating people thing that really got to me, especially since he had there heads mounted on a wall and ate someone's hand while she watched. And he did it all as like a holy crusade, to have their souls. Creepy Hope that helps. I have to say Elijah is really winning me over after this and eternal sunshine. He definetly isn't going to be Frodo to me forever. I thought the guy at the end was just a hitman who Becky recognized and knew meant her death. I figured the prostitutes sent him.ETA damn beaten to the punch! huntergrayson must be better at the spoilering than me

Yea, Kevin was a creepy character. His expression after the ugly guy (Marv?) cut off his legs and arms was so freaky. He just had that little smile on his face with his eyes seemingly staring straight ahead. Also when Bruce Willis' character (Hardigan?) was entering the barn to rescue Nancy, when we saw Kevin sitting inside reading the bible; everyone in the theatre went "uh-oh." Thankfully Hardigan didn't have an encounter with Kevin.

Thank you, everyone that replied, especially EleanorRigby!
Yep, spoilers never bother me, so I highlighted away and ....wow, can NOT wait to see him in action.
I loved him in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as well. Well, I just loved that movie period. He was a creep to me in that as well, more of the desperate type.

I cannot freakin' wait to see this movie!
I have to say, that in addition to what everyone else was saying about Kevin. The fact that his name is so average and inocuous always creeped me out because his character appears, at first glance, to be so average.
He was so wonderfully creepy in the book, I knew Elijah would do this and "Frodo" would probably disappear!

I agree with this. I went into this expecting to HATE Jessica Alba and she didn't bug me at all. I normally don't mind Brittany Murphy. I think she's probably a crackhead in real life but her acting never bothers me. Wouldn't call myself a fan but don't hate her either. But in this movie she drove me crazy. She took the whole "Noir" act a teensy step too far and it almost seemed like a farce of noir. Hard to explain.
As for Alexis, I just generally think she's a piss poor actress. I hate her on Gilmore Girls and hated her in this. She's very beautiful but every time she "acts" I feel like she's reading her lines off of a cue card held off stage. She's just sort of soulless IMO.
Other than those two, I thought the movie was phenomenal. While I felt that "Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow" was totally style over substance, this movie had a perfect balance. It wasn't just using the tricks to use them, it was using them to create a whole world.
It is violent but because it's black and white, the violence isn't too gratuitous or sickening to look at. It's gross but I'd be puking if it was done in realistic shots with color.

I really enjoyed this movie (which is good because I was excited about seeing it). My only complaint was that there were times when it felt really long. I really loved the look of the film. Black and white with dashes of color. That also really helped with the violence, which I usually don't handle very well.
Clive Owen was amazingly sexy (I mean, he usually is, but my admiration was greatly renewed).
My favorite line was "He had the voice of an angel" re Kevin. cracked me up, especially when I had a mental flashback to Elijah's SNL ep and he was singing in a boy's choir.

I saw this movie over the weekend and I liked it. It was very different than most movies and not what I was expecting. I guess I'm in the minority, but I really liked Alexis Bledel in it. In fact, I thought everyone did a good job, but Brittany Murphy was definetely the weakest link. Elijah Wood was especially creepy and I liked the Bruce Willis plot. I never jumped on the Clive Owen love train, but he was brutally hot in this movie. I've never read the graphic novels though, so I don't know how accurate the movie was.

I saw this movie on Saturday and loved every moment. Marv was incredibly sexy. I'd have done him.

Kate Bosworth fans everywhere are saying that Kate was the first choice for either Gail or Nancy. I know, I laughed too.
