Naomie Harris is in final negotiations to be the new Moneypenny. I know someone on here or another thread was really excited at the rumors she'd be a Bond Girl and this is way better! Since The Dark Tower is in limbo, it looks like Javier Bardem will be able to join - Ralph Fiennes looks like a go as well. Javier, Ralph and Craig in one movie? ROWR. Javier, Ralph, Craig AND Naomie? I'm bursting at the seams already. |

It truly is. I've grown rather fond of Bond 23. After Quantum of Solace, I'm all for a simple, straightforward title.

Huh. That's the title of the latest Bond book, written by Jeffrey Deaver. I read it recently. I've read all the Fleming books, and a few of his successors, and feel that Deaver and Martin Amis did the best at capturing the original. (Coincidentally Amis wrote a book about the James Bond oeuvre, The James Bond Dossier, which I think Deaver used as a primer to write his novel.) In reading it I kept thinking 'oh, that would be a good sequence for a Bond movie'. Amis wrote about all the Bond villains having little tics. In Deaver's book the villain has long yellow fingernails and he keeps stoking his beard with them. Ew!

Quantum of Solace beats it by a mile IMO. Still, not particularly interesting or engaging... But I guess after 20+ films, it'll gets its audience if TPTB called it "James Bond: The Next One."

So from reading the summary of the book it comes across as a reboot. Which seems an odd choice for the third Craig movie. Ugh to the title as well.
