I know that the second movie is too long and has way too much going on for its own good but whenever I watch it, I still want more. The closing credits role up and I'm dissapointed because AWE (isn't that the name of some rootbeer?) isn't out yet and I want to watch more pirates.
I guess I'm easy to please. They could follow the cast around with a hand held camera 24X7 and I'd still watch.

I think that pic turned out to be fake. I thought it was genuine when I first saw it months ago because I'm no good at Photoshop, but that's what I remember hearing.
What your kidding me! Somebody would actually spend time photoshopping a picture like that? And then I would steal the picture and post it here I can't believe it! Well I guess I will just have to wait until May 25 to find out where Captain Jack is. If Keith Richards is playing his father I imagine they are laying on a beach somewhere smoking doobies. I think Orlando is trying to go for the I am going to beat up Captain Jack for messing with my girl when I find him look.

I spend a good few seconds laughing at Orlando Bloom's poster. What a dork. I feel kind of sorry for him because now he's probably going to be overshadowed by Chow Yun-Fat too (in addition to Depp and Rush) and Keira at least has an Oscar nom while his baity '05 projects failed, but that is the one poster I don't find as stylish as the rest. There's something so romance novel-ish about his pose, with a bit of bare chest showing and the curls. It doesn't look very natural/practical to me (but Keira holds her sword like she wants to start doing some serious damage).

I like that the posters are very different from the first two movies.
Poor Orlando can't win. Both Depp and Knightley are prettier and manlier than he is, and he just looks ridiculous.

I don't get why Orlando is getting such a bum rap for this photo. I love it. I think he looks really good in it. I hated Kiera's. I think her face looks so off and probably photoshopped to high hell. Orlando's character has come a long way from the first one and I think he has the most interesting character arc in the whole film series.

I feel a bit differently...I just feel like poor Orli is getting a bum deal on these films. In the first one, it seemed like a balance between the three leads (OK, four if you count the marvelous Geoffrey Rush). But in the second film, I felt like his character didn't have much to do...they didn't make him seem as complex as Elizabeth and Jack. And even though I'm not a huge Orli fan, I wanted to scream, "not fair, guys!"

Does anyone know what the substance of Chow Yun-Fat's role will be? I'm afraid that it will be some Fu Manchu shit.

My guess is that it'll be a send-up of the Fu Manchu stuff, much like the rest of the show.

I love Gibbs, Pintel and Ragetti. Especially the whole conversation about what vexes all men. Their answers, respectively, crack me up: "the sea? sums? the dichotomy of good and evil?" and then their little "break the evil charm" dance when they hear the name "Davey Jones." Hee! I think you are talking about when they said the Black Spot, not Davey Jones.
